Understaffed. Terrible burrito. Great salsa and guacamole.

We decided to stop by for a late lunch and were impressed by the neighborhood vibe at this location. The guacamole and salsa were fresh. The Cadillac margarita was great. However, the entrees left a bit to be desired. One of their signature dishes was “The Flying Burrito” supposedly included three types of protein: chicken, shrimp, and beef along with rice, beans, guacamole and cheese. The burrito had two small pieces of chicken and rice and beans. I let the waiter know and he said, “They dice the protein up very small.” The burrito didn’t have ANY beef or shrimp.

Ordered pickup about 15 minutes prior and it was done to perfection as I walked in the door. Love the food here, especially vegan/vegetarian friendly.

Saturday early evening a few months back. It was a miss but I'll give it one more chance since so much time has elapsed and every restaurant can have an off day. Felt a little like the old version of Juan's on Magazine in New Orleans but frozen margaritas were too tart, bland and weak, fish tacos were ok but lacked flavor. Art is really fun though, especially Poppy's stuff and the indoor and outdoor spaces have a great vibe. Staff was personable but off kilter somehow, not dominating the joint like the old Juans which was always a seamless operation. Work on those frozen house margaritas, folks. To be fair, the old Juans on Magazine St in Nola ain't what it used to be neither. Yea, you right. The world is upside down.
