  We decided to stop in based on some previous reviews we'd seen. When we arrived it looked a bit rundown compared to other places in the area. We were a bit confused on what door to enter, but figured out an entry point by the outside bar. Not a soul was inside. A waitress did come out and greet us. We ordered drinks and looked over the menu. When we were ready to order she told us half of what we wanted to order wasn't available anymore. For example all of their steamer sandwhiches. We fumbled quickly and ordered other items. Service was ok but could’ve been better especially since we were the only ones inside. Everything was just ok and I wouldn’t come again. There’s too many other options in the area with a full menu and more lively.

  What a fun place, owner came by to check on everyone... food.. drinks were good... band Summer Breeze was awesome with Ronny, Crystal Smith and the guys. I'll definitely be back for another visit.

  I called about 5 restaurants on the beach in regards to hosting a welcome happy hour fory wedding guests and the only place that answered and responded was The Sandbar, I booked a 30 person Happy Hour with only reading the reviews. They reserved a section for us with no deposit. We had a wonderful section on the patio with Kat at the bar. Kat made sure to check on my as the Bride often to make sure I didn't need anything. We got to visit with Greg the owner for a bit as well. Our crowd was loud and they never made us feel obnoxious, the food was delicious but the happy hour menu on the website is not the actual happy hour and does need updated. We had a great experience and would definitely go back! Thank you Kat & Greg for helping make our wedding weekend so special! The Quinn's Mike, Spring Violet

  The food was very good. The bartender is so friendly and gave us excellent service. We were able to get some good pictures ov the sunset before it got too cloudy.

  This is my first ever bad review I’ve posted. I try to only put out positive energy; however, the experience at The Sandbar was so poor I’m shocked they are still in business. When we entered, a table was super easy to find. Now I know I shouldn’t have been surprised that people aren’t standing in line out front like Peg Leg Pete’s or Shaggy’s. It took at least 30 minutes for the waitstaff to acknowledge us. It took nearly 45 minutes for our food to arrive - and only because we hounded our server a few times. Our crab was served still frozen and slimy. They are horribly understaffed - only 2 waitresses when we were there on a Saturday night. We learned that the owner was present sitting at the bar the whole time we were there and did nothing to help his staff give customers the experience they deserved for the $37 crab boil ($8 more expensive than Peg Leg Pete’s). The one bright spot in the evening was the gentleman tending bar. He was hustling not only attend to the orders for those seated at the bar, but also those seated elsewhere and finally went to the bar themselves because the wait staff couldn’t keep up.
