Most of their sandwiches are cold, and loaded with cheese. Since I am dairy sensitive due to allergies, I was pleased to see that they had one side of their menu for sandwiches without cheese or dairy of any kind. However, why would the sandwiches that have less on them be almost double the price of the regular loaded cheese, ranch or Caesar sandwiches?
My son told me that he equates Jimmy John's as being equal to Firehouse subs, but I don't think they are quite as good.
What irritated me, was the high cost, but more so, the fact that when I went to pay, the amount wasn't even on the card machine. The first thing the girl puts up is a notice for a tip. Why would I tip you when I don't even know what you are charging me for what I ordered?
When I said to the girl taking the order, "What is the amount? " She hesitated, because she wanted me to tip her first. I had to ask a second time with a little more demand in my voice, "WHAT is the amount? "She sighs this exasperated sigh, with an attitude because showing me what my balance was involved her moving off of the tip page, which it apparently does not go back to once the amount is presented. I paid nearly $30 for two 10 inch sandwiches with a regular drink.
I wasn't impressed with the sandwich. It was just a plain roast beef & turkey with mayo, lettuce and tomato. Nothing special there, and I had to ask them to heat up the meat.
But it was the tip me first, with the attitude that caused me to post this review and give this rating.
