- DDDawn DawnJul 25, 20261.0I was very excited to enjoy a burger and fries from Five Guys until I got to the register and was greeted by the most unwelcoming/unpleasant demeanor/attitude from an employee that I’ve ever come across, Khalia (the lady with glasses and braids on the register.) I really thought it couldn’t be as bad as I thought it was until right after walking away my boyfriend said “wow that lady really hated me or something” and he never says things like that. We tipped anyways, because we didn’t want to hold one employee’s harsh attitude against the other hard workers. I was so taken aback that I was even watching her interactions with other customers to see if it was a fluke, but she was just as unfriendly to the other patrons as well. The bottom bun of my burger was very soggy and soaked in grease that I tried to pat off with napkins, but it was far too much grease to be able to remedy. I am sad to say that I am very disappointed with my latest visit to Five Guys.

I placed an online order and showed up about 20 minutes later, only to find that they hadn’t even started making it. The employees seemed completely apathetic and in no hurry whatsoever, which only made the wait more frustrating. The food didn’t make up for it either. The fries were soggy and there was a fraction of the amount Five Guys is usually known for. My milkshake was also missing several of the mix-ins I ordered. One bad visit won’t usually keep me from coming back, but this location was a huge disappointment from start to finish. I expect much better from a brand that’s usually so consistent.

Does Five Guys offer gluten-free options?
The only products we offer that contain gluten are our buns, hot dogs (Canada only), HP sauce (UK only), and the malt vinegar condiment for our fries. In Canada, our Poutine Gravy condiment also contains gluten. All of our sandwiches, including burgers, hot dogs and the veggie sandwich, are available without a bun via our wrap or bowls.

Why does Five Guys have peanuts for free?
Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
What is the best way to reheat leftover fries?
Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
Also, give those leftover fries a try as hash browns, home fries, or even as the filling in an omelet.
