Dry old crab. Wouldn't even Crack. Tasted like it had been cooked for days and had absolutely no flavor. This is the worst crab I ever had. Very few food choices. Jello and pudding and ice cream deserts. Definitely not worth over 100.00. Tasted like 10 dollars per person. The waiters were very friendly and was probably the only good thing about the whole place

Great Buffet if you are in the mood for buffet! Wonderful variety of goods! Salad bar, shrimp, and plenty of warm food options. Staff very friendly and helpful. I had the fresh shrimp with cocktail sauce, the shrimp was fresh and tasty. The shrimp size was medium to large sized. The warm food options were very good. The fried chicken was juicy and flavorful. This is a definite must try if you are in the area! They also have crab legs if you’re in the mood. The price increases for buffet if you eat the crab legs.

For me this restaurant met nearly everything I was looking for. I came here for seafood ( mainly to get some crab legs). The place was clean and the staff were very nice, helpful and HALEY S was a top notch server making our experience so much better! The crackers were great. I also loved the coconut shrimp. This is not a huge buffet but had most of what I wanted. If I had to find something to complain about it would be the only scallops they had were deep fried . Pricing was competitive with any where else you would go to. I definitely would eat here again. Thanks Captain Jacks

My spouse and I went for dinner on a Monday night. The restaurant cleanliness and friendly, attentive staff are the only reasons for giving 2 stars instead of 1. Green beans and corn were soggy with no flavor. Brussel sprouts were seasoned well, but were not trimmed properly, so were full of tough, woody bits. Fried shrimp, popcorn shrimp, fried scallops, and fried okra all had the same breading that tasted like stale cornmeal and raw flour. Boiled shrimp, and Old Bay steamed shrimp were overcooked and chewy, with no flavor. The gumbo was so salty it was inedible. Macaroni and cheese was watery and unseasoned. Mashed potatoes were bland and very sticky. The dinner roll was passable. Some how dessert options were equally as bland and disappointing. Banana pudding is boxed mix with questionable meringue, blondies were burnt on bottom, and the cookies taste like chewy Chips Ahoy. The only redeemable thing was the crab legs, which were cooked very well and had a great fresh, flavor.

Captain Jack's is the best restaurant in Panama City Beach. The food is top notch and the staff is ridiculously friendly. It's the kind of place that makes you sad your Aunt Gilda passed away because you'll never get to bring her here to experience the glory of that succulent buffet. I still wish she hadn't believed she could fly before she jumped. As I sat there eating those delicious crab legs, I just know she was looking down and smiling. Captain Jack's is also the kind of place you bring your kids to teach them how to act in a restaurant. Not because of the family atmosphere, which it absolutely has, but because there are so many people moaning over how good the food is that you can backhand little Jimmy for acting like a fool in public and nobody will even notice. Honestly, he needs to grow up. He's three years old for crying out loud. In hindsight, I probably shouldn't have brought Aunt Gilda's ashes with me. When I looked up and saw Jimmy making ash angels under the buffet, I knew I'd made a mistake. Speaking of mistakes, telling my wife she should wear her Strawberry Shortcake roller skates to an all you can eat seafood buffet was another poor decision. She hit the Dole whip ice cream at what experts estimate was 17 mph. In summary, the food here is so good you'll lose your mind. I don't actually have a wife, a son, or an Aunt Gilda, but after one bite of those crab legs I was transported into an imaginary world where I did. 10/10. I'll definitely be back... probably without Jimmy.
