One of the best I ever had and at $2.99 each I could have ordered a half dozen of these! Grilled steak & cheese arepa - hefty portion of steak but not as savory and tantalizing as the empanada. Arepa well grilled but cheese is their white cheese rallado which has a pleasant but very mild flavor and the steak lacked any intense seasoning so overall experience was good but not something you would want to reorder. The cafe con leche was perfect and paired with a cinnamony rice pudding was a great end to the meal! Good service and peasant atmosphere.

If you are looking for authentic, comforting, and wonderfully seasoned Venezuelan food, Avila Restaurant in Palm Harbor is an absolute must-visit. We started our meal with their incredible homemade lemonade made with sugar cane (papelón con limón), which had that deep, authentic caramel sweetness that sets it apart from standard lemonade. For dinner, we shared the BBQ Platter for 2. The meat was seasoned to perfection, and all the traditional sides accompanying it were completely awesome. Being a self-proclaimed flan snob, I have high standards for dessert—and their flan definitely passed the test with flying colors. Of course, since choosing just one sweet is impossible, we ended up trying all three house-made desserts: the flan, the tres leches, and the rice pudding. Every single one of them was a hit. The generous portions, warm atmosphere, and top-tier food make this a standout spot. I will definitely be back! Unfortunately I forgot to snap a pic of the desserts, but give them a try!
