On July 25, we ordered lunch through the drive-thru, paid cash, and were given a bag of breakfast instead. By the time we discovered the mistake, we were already on I-95 heading north. I called immediately and spoke with a manager, who apologized and told me they would replace the meal the next time we came in. She took my husband’s name since he’s usually the one who places our orders. We were also not given a receipt nor was there a receipt in the bag so we really don’t even know what we paid for. Before returning today, I called because we’ve had this happen before. A few months ago, our sandwiches were missing from an order, and although we were told they would be replaced on our next visit, no one knew anything about it when we came back. This time I spoke with Chris, and instead of trying to resolve the issue, he immediately treated me like I was trying to get free food. He questioned every detail and even claimed they “never have mixed-up orders,” despite the fact that we’ve experienced multiple mistakes ourselves—including an issue with a delivery order just this past Friday. What disappointed me the most wasn’t the original mistake—it was the customer service. Mistakes happen. It’s how a business handles them that matters. I asked to speak with the proprietor or leave my name and number for a call back, but Chris refused, saying that would “never happen.” He also claimed there was no one in charge, only several managers. He kept insinuating that we were given the wrong set of instructions, whatever that meant or given the wrong process. I was also on the phone for over 20 minutes while he searched through every transaction they apparently had Saturday. He was rude, and in my opinion has no business being a manager if that’s how he’s going to speak to people. We had heard from several local residents to avoid this location because of poor customer service and cold food. We wanted to form our own opinion, but after several negative experiences, I can understand why people feel that way. I hope the proprietor sees this review because customers deserve better. Owning mistakes and treating people with respect goes a long way.
