Our server went above and beyond to make sure the service was exceptional. It was my granny’s 80th birthday and she was here on a visit from NY and our server was kind enough to pull apart her lobster so she can enjoy her meal. I was extremely impressed with their bowl of clam chowder! WOW! The taste and portions were beyond my expectations. I had 2 kids who had the kids meal and it was more food than I expected as well.
We had such a great experience at Paddlefish! We came in today for dinner. The oysters were fresh and delicious, and the calamari was honestly one of the best we’ve had, perfectly soft and flavorful. My sister ordered the grouper and absolutely loved it. The ribeye was a huge portion and cooked so well. I had the stuffed cod, which was very delicious too; I just added a little salt to match my preference.
The wedge salad with blue cheese dressing was surprisingly amazing, and that’s coming from someone who usually doesn’t even like salad.
The service was exceptional from start to finish, which is exactly what we hoped for at Disney. Courtney, our server, was so informative, attentive, and helpful with recommendations and favorites from the menu. Even the hostess who seated us was incredibly cheerful and welcoming. Overall, such a wonderful dining experience and we would definitely come back!

Went here for dinner tonight on the tail end of our vacation. Google has Paddlefish listed as a fine dining restaurant. As a couple who frequents fine dining restaurants, Paddlefish left alot to be desired. Excellent service and atmosphere, drinks are decent but food was very subpar. Crab ceviche was bland. Grilled octopus was over cooked and chewy, but had good flavor. Oysters were great and tastes fresh however. $28 for 6 is crazy. Linguine and clams was flavorless, along with the bland, unseasoned, mushy crab cake. Lastly the herb and parmesan fries for $10 were disappointing, it was just seemingly frozen fries topped with dried herbs and shakey cheese.

We approached this restaurant with high expectations based on how it presents itself; however, the experience ultimately felt lackluster and fell short of what I would consider a true fine dining standard.
From the outset, the service lacked polish. Upon arrival, the host did not properly place menus and, in the process, knocked over multiple glasses. While mistakes happen, it was the response that followed that was most surprising, there was a noticeable absence of composure or professionalism, which immediately set an uneasy tone for the evening. Additionally, staff presentation throughout did not reflect an elevated dining environment. Attire such as yoga pants paired with button-down shirts felt inconsistent with the level of sophistication being advertised.
Table service continued in a similar vein. Our server, Allison, was initially pleasant; however, when I politely expressed that I did not enjoy the chowder, served lukewarm and notably diluted; the response of “we make it every day” came across as dismissive rather than solution-oriented. There was no attempt to remedy the situation, nor any follow-up from a manager after the dish was returned. As we departed, we encountered her twice more across different areas of the restaurant without acknowledgment, which further contributed to the feeling that our experience was of little importance.
There were also interactions that felt unnecessarily uncomfortable. When we inquired about applying a Disney Vacation Club discount, the response of “show me,” delivered while looking my friend up and down, felt more judgmental than procedural. This was particularly surprising given that she has been a Disney Vacation Club member for over a decade and maintains multiple memberships, hardly an unusual request in this setting as you have to ask to get it. This aspect of guest interaction would benefit from refinement and training.
Service pacing and attentiveness were also inconsistent. After expressing that we intended to continue ordering beyond appetizers, the server returned shortly thereafter assuming we had finished, even offering to box a minimally touched salad without ever asking what we would like next. As we waited, we began stacking plates to assist, yet they remained uncleared. These repeated small oversights compounded into an experience that felt inattentive and disconnected.
The food itself did little to recover the evening. Several items arrived less than hot, and the speed at which appetizers were delivered suggested they had been held under warmers. Additionally, being out of multiple offerings, including the Albariño and lobster corn dogs was disappointing.
Notably, we dined later at Summer House on the Lake and experienced a stark contrast in both service and hospitality, which further highlighted the shortcomings here.
For a restaurant positioning itself as upscale, there was a clear lack of attention to detail, guest awareness, and overall professionalism. Even elements such as routing guests through a busy kitchen to reach the dining room detracted from the experience.
I share this not in search of a response, but in the hope that improvements are made so that future guests do not leave feeling as we did. The space itself is beautiful, and there is clear potential but the execution does not currently reflect the standard being presented.
Thank you.

After our day at Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex, we had dinner reservations at Paddlefish—a place we had been looking forward to for a while.
The atmosphere really is beautiful, and the location right on the water is hard to beat. I had asked if the two of us could sit at one of the corner tables on the 2nd floor overlooking the water, but was told those were closed for the evening. We ended up on the second floor by a window facing the riverboat paddles. A bit disappointing—especially since the “closed” table was seated about 20 minutes later.
Our server was friendly and welcoming, which we appreciated. As for the food, it was a bit of a mixed experience. The grilled octopus was just okay—more chewy than expected and not quite grilled enough—but the beans it came with were excellent. I had the PEI mussels: the sauce was absolutely incredible, but unfortunately the mussels themselves were undercooked. My husband ordered the swordfish, which was cooked perfectly and tasted great.
Overall, while the setting and views are lovely, the food didn’t quite live up to expectations. It’s probably not a spot we’d return to for dinner—but I would consider coming back for a drink outside to enjoy the atmosphere.
