Oye. Let me tell you suuuumsing. I am Cuban from Miami and I had my doubts and skepticism about trying Cuban food in Orlando. It was my first time trying, and it was DIVINOOOOOO!!! I had churrasco with yuca and plantains. I traveled through time and space. The flavor of the onions and steak were next level. I had to admit it, but I’m going back and it’s better than some places in Miami. The staff I spoke to were Dominican and Venezuelan, but somehow the whole team knows what a Cuban wants!! Epic! It’s Monday and I’ll be back on Friday when I come back to Orlando. :) Gracias a todos!!

AVOID THIS PLACE! I’m not the type to write totally negative reviews, unless there’s something good to say. But the food here is NOT EVEN OK. It was DISGUSTING!! . It’s very disappointing to come to a place named “number one” and get the worst food I have ever gotten from a Cuban restaurant. The only thing that was “ok” out of all the pictures here were the French fries. Starting with the cheese empanadas, who in the world puts one slice of cheap American cheese on an empanada?? The dough was so bad it was crunchy like a cracker and dry. The Cuban sandwich was pitiful. The bread tasted like cleaning liquid, and as you see one part of the sandwich barely had anything. Completely embarrassing. The breaded steak tasted like the empanadas, fried dough steak was see thru. The beans, straight out of a can, no flavor. And the most disappointing thing, the churrasco was so hard, my husband couldn’t take 2 bites. Even the maduros tasted like they were fried with old grease. What a waste of our money and time! And by the way, the place is old, we understand that, but it’s so run down and dirty, I should’ve known better. As soon as we walked in the smell of mold should’ve made me go put running out of here. The table covers dirty, super horrible experience. The server kept asking if empanadas were good, we didn’t even responded, I was embarrassed for her. Although they took the churrasco and salad off the bill, we left very disappointed, we left half of the Cuban sandwich 1 empanada. And almost the entire plate of breaded steak. As hungry as we were, our appetite was done when we walked out and will never come back to this dump. It’s a shame to Cubans for them to claim that they have the number 1 Cuban restaurant, number 1 from the worst restaurants?? I wouldn’t have been disappointed if they should’ve highlighted that…..They have trophies all over the walls, but none make it to the years 2000, from what I can see. Not even when I was in Cuba during the special period of the blockade in the 90d, did I ever eat this bad.
