I hardly ever do any reviews and I have been going to this McDonald’s for over two years and I’ve never had an experience like this. I myself am a quick service store manager, so I understand what it’s like to be short staffed but also, I know what it’s like to make sure you care for your customers as well as your employees. I contacted my delivery driver after this had already taken an hour after I placed my order And spoke to the driver And they said it wasn’t going to be ready for another 30 minutes And then I can call the restaurant and speak to them if I would like. So I called the restaurant and the first time I called someone just kept repeating “hello hello” and then hung up the second time I called back someone answered and didn’t even give me the opportunity to respond before they hung up. The third time I finally called someone actually let me respond and I wanted to just ask if I could check on how long my order was gonna be they then interrupted me and acting like I was annoying them and they said sorry we’re really short staffed and then hung up the phone.
Again I understand being short staffed and working on a holiday, and I am trying to be understanding because I even waited an hour before I called, but the store is 7 minutes away from my house and I have a chronic illness that makes it hard for me to leave sometimes which is why I had ordered it in the first place.
Please do better in treating your customers better especially when they are being extremely kind and understanding.
Update my driver is saying it is going to take another 30 minutes for my order and that would be over two hours. Absolutely insane.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! DISCRIMINATION AND HARASSMENT!
Avoid this location at all costs if you want to be treated with basic human decency. Store Manager Yara Teixeira is completely unfit to work in customer service. We came with our 6-year-old son for a Happy Meal and politely asked to exchange a duplicate toy. She immediately snapped, speaking in a very loud, aggressive voice to her staff and to us.
While we were seated, she and another employee secretly took photos of my wife with a personal cell phone. When confronted about this invasion of privacy, she mocked us, laughed, and made a deeply xenophobic and discriminatory comment: "We are in the United States, and here we only speak English," despite the fact that she speaks Spanish fluently with her staff.
She escalated the situation so badly, speaking in such a loud voice, that other families inside the restaurant left in shock. To cover up her unprofessional power trip, she weaponized law enforcement and called the police on a family over a simple toy, leaving our 6-year-old child traumatized. She is a massive liability and a disgrace to McDonald’s. Families, stay away!

The Worst Experience at Lake Nona McDonald's
I have been a loyal McDonald's customer for many years, and this was, without question, the worst managerial behavior I have ever experienced. What began as a simple customer service question unnecessarily turned into a deeply unpleasant and distressing experience for my family.
Instead of addressing our concern professionally, the manager, Yara, responded with disrespect, raised her voice, and handled the situation in a very unprofessional manner.
What made the experience even worse was that it happened in front of my child. No family should have to go through something like this simply for visiting a restaurant.
During the incident, several customers witnessed what happened. Some approached me afterward to express their support and shared that they were uncomfortable with the way the situation was handled. I also observed several customers leave the restaurant because, instead of trying to resolve the issue respectfully and professionally, the manager continued to escalate the situation.
I sincerely hope McDonald's reviews the security camera footage so the interaction can be evaluated objectively. I believe the recordings will show exactly how the situation was handled, that there was never a genuine attempt to resolve the conflict, and whether this reflects the level of customer service and professionalism McDonald's expects from its management team.
I sincerely hope this matter is carefully reviewed so that no other family has to endure such an unpleasant experience marked by such a lack of courtesy, respect, and professionalism.
I do not recommend this McDonald's, especially if you expect to be treated with respect.
During my visit, the person who identified herself as the manager Yara Teixeira and another employee were laughing while taking a photo of me after they had treated my husband poorly simply because he asked if they could exchange the Happy Meal toy for another one that our son is collecting. We have always been loyal customers of this McDonald's. When I asked them to delete my photo, instead of addressing my concern professionally, the manager immediately began yelling at me and speaking to me in a disrespectful manner.
The way she treated me was discriminatory and disrespectful. She was speaking Spanish with the other employees, but when I spoke to her in Spanish, she refused to speak Spanish with me and continued yelling instead of trying to de-escalate the situation.
Instead of handling the situation the way a manager should, she threatened to call the police. I waited for the police to arrive because I wanted to explain what had happened. Rather than trying to resolve the issue professionally, she escalated the situation even further and ultimately requested that I be issued a trespass warning, preventing me from returning to the restaurant.
She also refused to identify herself when I asked for her name, and none of the employees were wearing visible name tags, making it impossible to identify the staff involved.
It was especially distressing that this entire incident occurred in front of my child. No child should have to witness a manager yelling at a customer instead of handling the situation with professionalism and respect.
Several customers who witnessed the incident expressed how uncomfortable they felt with the way I was treated.
I sincerely hope McDonald's reviews the security camera footage so they can see exactly what happened and takes appropriate action regarding the behavior of its employees, especially the manager. Customers deserve to be treated with respect, professionalism, and courtesy. Unfortunately, that was not my experience at this location.
