It's a cool place, aesthetically.
Our server Christy was lovely and very friendly.
However, the food.... Disgusting. I ordered the Bluesville chicken which was dry as the ghandis flipflop. The slaw tasted like it had been mixed in a bowel of dawn dish soap 🫧🧼 and the fries were over-spiced. I had to send it back unfortunately as couldn't eat it.. Christy was happy to help and offer suggestions etc.
Had high hopes for this place but don't think I will be back.
Also, we were only halfway through our starters and another waitress came out with the mains before we could even finish them.. forcing us to hand them over for the mains instead.
Not a good look. Felt like we were being rushed. $78 is a lot to be spending on a service that's being rushed.
Do better.
This is my favorite restaurant to go to at Disney Springs, and there are some really great restaurants to choose from. The food is very tasty and we love the live music atmosphere. It is a bonus that they have much lower prices than most other restaurants at Springs. The brisket sandwich was amazing and the shrimp PoBoy was pretty good as well! The staff is great and our server tonight, Bill, was awesome! On the weekends they typically have live music inside AND outside. The location is ideal if you park in the Mango or Watermelon lots. They also have a HoB shop next door. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a place to dine in Disney Springs!
Last Wednesday I was at Baby Keems Ca$ino tour at house of blues. And to start Baby Keem was an amazing performer and the opening dj set by Scott Bridgeway was great, as for the venue, it is a logistical nightmare. House of blues always over sells tickets because they sell the number if tickets as if people will sit at bars or be super far away from the stage where you can't see the actual performance which nobody expects when they pay for a general admission ticket. Because of this it leads to overcrowding in the pit and creates a ton of chokepoints with all of the stair entrances to the floor. If I buy a General Admission ticket, I should be able to be in the standing floor. This is different as opposed to similar sized venues such as hard rock live at citywalk orlando because they have a big standing room unlike the small standing floor with stairs, it is one big standing room with stairs and bars and everything at the back. Even a smaller venue like plaza live would have been better because they have all the bars outside of the standing room. The other thing was they encourage people to basically skip the line by offering a 30 dollar fast lane ticket which is a separate line that gets let in after all vip but before the rest of general admission. I was there at 1:30 for the show that started at 7:30, I wasn't let in until around 8 and I wasn't even able to make it into the floor and I skipped the merch booth. I shouldn't have to buy another ticket just to be able to be on the floor.
I recently attended a show at House of Blues Orlando, and while we genuinely enjoyed the artist and their performance, the overall experience was significantly diminished by the venue itself.
From the start, the organization was chaotic. We were directed all the way around the building to the GA line, despite there being a much shorter route the other way. At one point, staff split the line and restarted it on the opposite side of the walkway, but failed to manage the transition—resulting in people cutting between the original and new lines. It wasn’t corrected until another guest spoke up, by which point hundreds of people were already affected.
Once inside, the venue felt extremely overcrowded and uncomfortable. We ended up in a spot with an obstructed view and tried to make the best of it, but for most of the show, I could barely see. I’m 5’5”, which is fairly average, and still had significant trouble seeing over the crowd. I’ve attended other standing-room-only shows at venues like The Beacham and Jannus Live without these issues. Even the nearby monitor was ineffective due to poor lighting and an overly zoomed-out camera.
The overcrowding created additional problems. People were sitting and standing on the stairs, making it nearly impossible to move between levels or access the bars. This also raised serious safety concerns. Navigating to the bathroom was equally difficult, and leaving your spot meant risking losing it entirely.
Overall, the venue feels too small, poorly designed, and unable to handle the number of guests it allows in. Between the pillars blocking views and people occupying stairways, it seems likely that many attendees had a similarly frustrating experience.
The sound quality was another major issue. The lead singer’s mic was often too low while the bass overpowered everything else, making it difficult to hear the lyrics. There were also moments where the mic clipped or cut out entirely.
Finally, the decision to place merchandise tables upstairs resulted in long lines stretching down the stairs, further contributing to congestion and safety concerns.
In short, while the performance itself was great, the venue experience fell far short of expectations and significantly impacted our enjoyment of the night.
