  Yesterday we ate at Los Magueyes .Located on Baseline.. It was our first time there and now one of my favorite Mexican restaurants. Located in a small strip center.........decorated very nicely inside and every employee was super nice. Started with a margarita.....Sooooo good and came with a rubber duck and flower for decorations....simple extra steps which made it special. First came the chips and salsa.....we asked for hot sauces too.......NOT the kind on the table(they had tons of those) but the kind you can dip your chip in. They were too hot for me,but my husband loves that stuff......one was a roasted pepper kind and the other had avocado,jalapenos,cilantro and other stuff...Both were a hit with him. Our meals....on the recommendation of the server,my husband had the Pollo Tapatio(?)..Grilled chicken breast cooked with mushrooms, spinach, onions, smothered with cheese sauce. Served with rice and beans. I had Alambre..Choice of tender sliced grilled steak or chicken with bell peppers and onions covered with special cheese. Served with guacamole salad, tortillas and rice or beans. I chose the steak and beans. Both meals came with choice of flour or corn tortillas. Our meals were some of the best Mexican we have had and huge portions ever though they were labeled as half portions on the lunch menu. They brought me out a birthday dessert.....Under all that whipped cream was a fried ice cream ball... I can not wait to go back there again.

  📍This is one of our favorite restaurants in Ocala at the border of Silver Springs FL. The food presentation is fantastic and the frozen margaritas are delicious. The staff is gracious and attentive and we literally go to this restaurant at least once a week. The food portions are very good and reasonable priced. When we go out to other Mexican restaurants, we always try to compare it to this restaurant. Personally I would recommend the house margaritas in the frozen style. We try to get there between five to six thirty in the evening to take advantage of the drink specials during the week. Every holiday or big sports event - they decorate the whole place for the celebration. Thank you for the continued wonderful experience each and every time! 💚🌮🍸

  Wonderful lunch!! Staff was super friendly, atmosphere was inviting, and food was spot on!! Will definitely be back!!!
