Tried this place for the first time today. Owners were really friendly and seemed happy to be there. Ordered shrimp beans and rice and everything was cooked perfectly and tasted amazing. Will be coming back for sure. I rate 8 out of 8

I used Puerto Rican Spice catering for my dads 80th birthday celebration, and everything was absolutely wonderful. The food was incredibly delicious and full of authentic flavor—our guests couldn’t stop talking about it. The service was very professional from start to finish, and the pricing was more than fair for the quality and portions we received. I highly recommend Puerto Rican Spice for catering or any meal—you won’t be disappointed!

My friend and I had wanted to head up to North Port for some time to try Puerto Rican Spice. The only regret is waiting so long! We decided to go family-style and ordered several different dishes so that we had variety and leftovers to take home. We started with Papas Locas with steak, and they were amazing. The Mofongo with pernil was absolutely delicious and probably my favorite dish of the evening. The arroz mamposteado and maduros amarillos were both so flavorful, as was the shrimp in creamy garlic sauce my friend ordered (shellfish allergy here). We ordered beef, beef and cheese, cheese pizza, and guava and cheese empanadas and all were fantastic. We finished with tres leches and flan for dessert. The flan is made with cheese and some of the best I've ever eaten. Doris is the owner, and she was so warm and inviting and giggled at how much food we ordered. We will absolutely be back.
