Janet was a great server to me & my son. He absolutely loved the anticuchos & skirt steak j rice. I had the jalea mixta and it was so delicious. The space was clean & very tranquil with good music. The service was phenomenal. Keep up the good work Janet! God bless you :)

After a long day at the beach walking and swimming, me and my friends decided to have some ceviche as we were craving food from our country. We arrived and all seemed to be okay, food was delicious and the service we got was nice from our server who happened to be colombian so it was easier for us to communicate with her in our native language Spanish. Everything went well until the moment we had to pay our bill and something really weird and uncomfortable happened. By the time we paid, our server came back to us and in a "confused" sarcastic manner she asked if there was a problem with our bank or her card terminal since she didn't receive any tip from us. Very confused we said no, there was no issue, we indeed left 0% tip and that was our choice. She then asked mad if we were aware that servers survive on tips and that it was not okay what we did, I have my own reasons to not tip someone and it's not because of bad service but to feel pressured to explain my own finance situation to a stranger???, she left very mad and we of course didn't explain our reasons to not tip, we just left and felt very bad of having a nice meal that then turned into a bitter situation because of that confrontation we received from her.
But leaving that aside, maybe it's a sign for this restaurant and any restaurant to pay their employees better and not fully leave customers do that task, specially in one of Miami's wealthiest areas, or that's what it seemed to me as someone who is just visiting from abroad.
Again, very nice food, just disgusting situation by the end. Service rating would have been 5 stars but after this, it can't be like that. I never thought I would experience any situation where a server confronts me for something that is fully optional.
Again, service was great, food amazing, but being confronted like that was terrible for the last dinner me and my friends had in our express visit to Miami. By the end, wouldn't go back or recommend it.

Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. We arrived with a service dog and were questioned by staff about whether we had a certification card. When we explained that there is no such certification requirement, the interaction continued to feel uncomfortable and unwelcoming. We ultimately decided not to stay and left without dining.
What made the experience particularly confusing was that, while we were being questioned about our service dog, we observed another dog being pushed out in a stroller. I recognize that different circumstances may apply to different animals, but from a guest’s perspective, it made the handling of the situation feel inconsistent.
I have no issue with restaurant staff asking the questions they are legally permitted to ask. I do believe, however, that these interactions should be handled knowledgeably, respectfully, and in a way that doesn’t make guests feel as though they have to prove themselves or their service dog.
I hope management will consider providing additional training to staff on how to appropriately and respectfully handle guests accompanied by service animals. A little more understanding and consistency would have made a significant difference to our experience.
