  My wife and I decided to try this restaurant for the first time, and unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. We were seated quickly upon arrival, but after waiting approximately 15 minutes, no server had approached us to even take a drink order or acknowledge us. During that time, a group that arrived after us was greeted and assisted almost immediately. What made the situation more frustrating was that our server walked past our table multiple times, made eye contact with us, and still never stopped to assist us. At that point, we decided to leave. To be fair, the manager was very polite and professional when we brought the issue to their attention, which we appreciated. However, waiting that long just to be acknowledged as customers is unacceptable and left a very poor first impression on our 1st time there.

  Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. Jay, the owner, was incredibly welcoming and generous, and Michelle, who waited on us, provided such attentive and friendly service that made the night even more special. The butter chicken is absolutely to die for, easily one of the best I’ve ever had. The drinks were just as impressive, especially the Chakra Zen martini and the pistachio martini, both were unique and delicious. The appetizers were also excellent. The ambience was amazing and overall inviting, making it the perfect place to relax and enjoy the evening. You can really tell the staff cares about creating a great experience for their guests. Highly recommend this place and can’t wait to come back!

  As a visitor, it’s a gamble when trying a new restaurant. We were blown away by the service and food that Zen was able to provide! Our server, Michelle, is an absolute gem and her service made our dining experience just that much better. The menu offers a wide array of amazing sounding combinations. The sashimi and sushi fish were amazingly fresh and we devoured every bite (the photo is of their sashimi crudo appetizer). I also highly recommend the simosas. Cannot wait to come back!

  I had made a reservation at 2pm today for a reserved booth at 6pm (E. Davis). I called the restaurant twice in advance to ensure a booth could be set aside for my company and I. The hostess informed me that someone was using the 2-person booth, and told me she would not honor my reservation because “the only booth available is made for 4 people,” …as though that was my issue to sort out. The unwillingness to seat a 2 person reservation at a ‘4 top’ in a half empty restaurant is not good for business. The hostess would not seat my reservation to the point where I had to request a manager to sort it out (surprise, the reservation was suddenly valid). The food was delicious and the presentation was wonderful, but your hostess the night of April 28 was rude, unprofessional, and snotty. Reservations were made and confirmed (twice) to avoid these problems, eye rolling and huffing at patrons who called ahead to request a special evening is not acceptable; won’t be back. The food is really amazing, so that’s a shame

  My daughter went out to eat at Zen Restaurant with a friend, and unfortunately their experience was very disappointing. From the start, the service was extremely slow. They waited about an 30 minutes before ordering their actual meal Her friend said she didn’t want any cilantro on her food cause she was allergic. After waiting an hour for the food, her friend was going to take a bite of her meal, the waitress came and said there was cilantro in the meal that she didn’t know about. Her friend ordered some else but the food itself did not meet expectations and was not enjoyable for her and did not want to other again and wait even longer, so at the end of the meal my daughter chose not to leave a tip. On her way home, she realized she had forgotten her credit card at the restaurant and went back to pick it up. During that time, the manager who returned the card spoke to her in a very passive aggressive and disrespectful way, complaining about the fact that my daughter did not leave a tip. The tone and approach made her feel very uncomfortable. She came home very upset from the entire experience. In my opinion, this is not how customers should be treated. Because of this, we have decided not to return and will not continue to support this restaurant.
