  My wife and I have been searching for a good Mexican Restaurant for the past four years, because our other favorite is Torero’s in West Palm Beach, which is a bit of a drive and decided to try out El Mezcal in Mount Dora, due to it having a slightly higher review total than the other one off of SR 200. Now, we have a new favorite place to add to our list. We arrived about 4 pm on a Saturday and were seated right away. The place was clean with music playing, but they didn’t have the Mariachi band at that time. Our server, Dana, took our drink order and we requested their guacamole, which they made right at the table on a rolling cart, to your specifications. My wife is the one who normally eats it at home, but after she raved; I tried it out myself and was very surprised. We both couldn't stop eating it and the same went for their salsa. For the main dishes, I ordered the Arroz Con Pollo and she had the Cazuelon, which included chicken, steak, shrimp, refried beans, lettuce, tortillas and more guac. Both meals had large portion sizes and were not spicy or expensive. Neither of us could finish the entire meal and brought home the left overs. Unfortunately, they did not offer a military discount; however, it was worth every penny. I highly recommend you stop by and give them a try.

  Will never be back. Was rushed the entire time. Ordered soup which showed up after entrees. Checks were handed while everyone was still eating entrees. Food was amazing but service made it a unpleasant dining experience.

  I have never actually eaten in the restaurant-I always do takeout. But I can see the decor is very cool, the atmosphere is always lively and it's always busy. The food is always really good and the service is fantastic. 10/10 recommend you try it!
