  First, I would like to note that this review is based off 2 items: their croissant and Makeawish cakes. The croissant was frankly a disappointment and a tragedy. Stale, uneven filling and not buttery. A place touted as a "French Cafe" that fails at the most basic aspect of a french cafe makes me apprehensive to the rest of their menu, of which I found slightly overpriced compared to other local offerings. The Pistachio Makeawish Cake, on the other hand, had clearly more effort put into it and was the right size for something that was a little bit too sweet. It was just good at best, nothing exceeding expectations. A place for the gram and not much else.

  How can this place be rated 4.8? For reference, I will take the time to give a review when the service is 5 stars. Because if l love a place, I want everyone to experience it too. But I’m breaking my rule. What I ordered was inedible. If I wanted store bought frozen pancakes, I would have gone to Publix. The pancakes were hard and dare I say, slightly cold as if they forgot to microwave it. For a pancake order that cost $20, I would have expected something made from scratch. The eggs and cappuccino were ok. Needless to say, I left disappointed. Vanilla Espresso French, this was my second time here and it will be my last.

  I come to Vanilla Espresso in Miramar pretty often for coffee, and it is always delicious. My family comes here a lot as well and we all really enjoy the pastries and breakfast. Everything is always fresh and the atmosphere is super welcoming. Jackie helped me today, and she is usually the one who takes my order. I have food allergies, and she always makes sure to double check everything and make sure my order is prepared correctly. It really means a lot knowing someone takes the time to be careful and attentive. Great customer service every time we come!

  I always enjoy coming back here and trying new items from the menu with my partner. Perfect place to have a good cup of coffee and croissant while studying, or sit back and relax with some friends while you enjoy a soup or pancakes. I always recommend the Paris Hot Chocolate! And I always receive excellent service, especially from Jonathan. The owner is also quite nice and very actively involved in making sure everyone has a great time and the food is tasty. Wait time for orders is usually quite quick, especially recently. My one gripe about here is that I desperately wish for this place to stay open until later than 5pm. The food and drinks would be perfect even for dinner or to have a place to study or complete some work after leaving school or your job. Regardless, this is my go-to cafe to come by on the weekends. Safe to say I will return as a permanent customer!

  ​"Estaba muy emocionada de ir nuevamente a Vanilla. Me encuentro embarazada, así que tenía muchos antojos de esos deliciosos y suaves mini croissants. Siempre visitamos el de Miami Lakes junto a mi esposo y familia; sin embargo, esta vez la experiencia que tuvimos fue muy decepcionante. ​El hecho de hacer fila y tener gente atrás esperando es un poco incómodo y apresurado, pero bueno, lo haces y ya está. Fui específica con la chica de la caja al pedirle de qué manera me gustaban los eggs benedict y, como de costumbre, pedí aparte los mini croissants. ​Al llegar a la mesa nos trajeron agua, pero una de las copas no estaba bien lavada, ya que se podía ver el labial de otra persona. Al empezar a comer con muchos deseos, mis huevos no estaban preparados como los pedí y los mini croissants para nada estaban frescos ni suaves; al morderlos, se sentían duros y difíciles de masticar. Creo que lo único que rescato fue el capuchino, que estaba rico, pero ya estaba frío para cuando llegaron nuevamente con los eggs benedict como los había solicitado. Por lo demás, el lugar es agradable y tiene buen ambiente."
