  This was one of the worst experiences I’ve had. I waited over 25 minutes in a line that wasn’t even moving properly and had to go around just to order. When I finally got my food, it was unacceptable—chicken was undercooked, yuca bites were cold, fries tasted stale, and overall quality was very poor. On top of that, at 12 PM there was no curry mustard, no apple juice for the kids’ meal, and the cookies was 5 days old . Completely disappointing from start to finish. This needs serious attention.

  I have going to this Pollo for many years, and have brushed off the slow, inattentive service due to the food being really good. Today was the final straw. I stood at the counter for 10mins waiting to place my order. I understand Saturday evening can be busy, but at least acknowledge me as a customer. Everyone kept working as if I was not there. Soon after, another customer walks in and a kid in a blue sweater, goes behind the counter and takes the order of the customer that just walked in. He didn't even look like an employee due to him not being in any form of work uniform. When I state to him that I've been waiting to place an order, he stares at me, then turn to continue the customers order, in complete disregard of what I just expressed. When he did get to me, I told him what he just did was really rude. He mumbled something, and with all my restraint I simply ordered. I did not want to ask for a supervisor or manager since they were already busy with the drive thru. I chalked it up to the kid being a young and rude, with no customer service experience. He looked as if he did not to be there. I will never return to this Pollo again. I'll start to go to the one FURTHER from my home, across I-75.

  Properly disappointed. I love pollo tropical and was happy when it opened in my neighborhood. I eat here any chance I get. As of late, they have been really skipping on portions and quality. I approached the manager to ensure it wasn’t a mistake and she immediately came strong and heavy at me. (5/12 at 1130am) Pictures below is what the wraps now look like at pollo tropical. I’m afraid I’ll have to come less to this place

  Unfortunately, our experience with the brown rice at Pollo Tropical has been consistently disappointing. At first, we thought we were just getting the burnt rice from the bottom of the pot because they were running low, but after so many times, we realized it’s probably being stored and reheated for days since it may not sell as much. Most of the time the rice is hard, dry, overcooked, and almost impossible to eat. It honestly tastes like old reheated rice over and over again, to the point where you feel like you could crack a tooth trying to chew it. What’s interesting is that one time we specifically asked for fresh rice, and the employee casually said, “it was just made,” and sure enough, that was the only time we received soft, fresh, properly cooked rice. That alone confirmed the huge difference. Every other visit has been the same disappointing experience. They really need to pay more attention to the freshness and quality of the food they’re serving customers.
