Zuma Miami, located in the heart of downtown, brings chef Rainer Beckers internationally acclaimed style of modern Japanese izakaya dining from the robata grill and kitchen to its first US location.
We have eaten here several years ago, staying at the Kimpton we decided to have dinner here again.
We were welcomed by friendly staff and sat quickly, the atmosphere excellent.
The service very slow more later. It appeared to us that they have reduced the size of sushi and sashimi especially compared to Zuma London and Mykonos ( much larger), almost mini sushi. So really overpriced for what you get. At the end of the night when getting the bill, the server said 'we split the tips' basically begging for additional tip. If she hadn't said that she'd have probably got an additional tip, not much as the service was pretty shaky from the start. Anyway we definitely wouldn't return, this is probably the worst Zuma we've ever eaten at.

Zuma’s Sunday brunch is absolutely worth the price. The spread offers a variety of dishes, all made with fresh, high-quality ingredients and inspired by modern Japanese and Asian flavors. Beautifully prepared sushi, robata-style grilled items and flavorful small plates, everything tastes thoughtfully crafted and delicious. The dessert selection was also very nice. Overall, it’s a fantastic brunch experience that feels both indulgent and refined.

Read the reviews and felt we had made the right choice to celebrate our Anniversary. But once there we were blown away at how amazing Zuma is. It's there attention to detail and there next level service. From the moment you walk in they make you feel like you are the only customer there. Our server Camilo made our special night even better with his knowledge and great recommendations, that were excellent. We have been to high end restaurants in the past and alot of servers act like they own the restaurant. But Camilo was like family, but professional and knowledgeable. As for the food it was a bit pricey but on par for a place like this. We had the skirt steak and the 8oz ribeye. Incredible flavor and tenderness. What really was special was there drinks, honestly I can't remember the name of some the drinks but they are probably the best I've had anywhere. The old fashion with Japanese whiskey was out of this world. Overall this place is fantastic it has everything you want for a special dinner.

Definitely a good vibe, try to get on the terrace if you can it’s nice watching all the boats go by. The portions obviously are very small. Felt a little bit rushed. I wasn’t done with one of our plates, and the guy took it. I was like OK. Lol . Other than that, all in all, it would be a good place to just go get appetizers.

Zuma strikes a rare balance between high-end elegance and a lively, modern dining experience. Located in Brickell, it has a polished yet approachable ambiance—sleek wood interiors, waterfront views, and a steady hum of conversation that feels sophisticated without being stiff. It’s equally suited for business dinners or celebratory nights out.

The food is where Zuma truly shines. Its modern Japanese cuisine focuses on bold flavors and pristine ingredients, with dishes like miso-marinated black cod and expertly crafted sushi setting the tone. Everything is designed for sharing, which encourages a more interactive and social dining experience. Each plate feels intentional, refined, and deeply satisfying without being overly complicated.
