The food itself was enjoyable. We ordered the wagyu beef dumplings, a NY strip, and an aged ribeye, along with a bottle of red wine and two martinis. Everything was well-prepared and flavorful, and our server was kind, personable, and attentive throughout the meal. Where the experience fell short for me was in the overall service details and ambiance. When dining at a restaurant in this category, I expect a more elevated, seamless experience from start to finish. Small touches make a big difference. Bread should come pre-sliced without needing to ask, wine service should feel more polished, and table maintenance should be more consistent throughout the meal. These are subtle things, but they stand out, especially with a hospitality background. The ambiance also didn’t fully reflect the premium pricing. It felt more standard than elevated, which made the overall experience feel slightly mismatched compared to expectations. Overall, it was a solid dinner with good food and a friendly server, but not quite the top-tier experience I anticipated for a restaurant at this level. I will return and hope for a better experience.
