My son and I stopped at McDonald's last Tuesday after his dentist appointment in Doral and we had such a good quick experience, sometimes you just need McDonald's and it hits the spot.
We pulled into the McDonald's on NW 36th Street around 5pm, it was busy, dinner rush starting, lots of families, but the drive thru and inside were both moving fast. Inside was clean, tables wiped, floors swept, staff working hard. We decided to go inside because my son wanted to sit in the booth.
He ordered the Happy Meal with 6 piece Chicken McNuggets, fries, apple slices, and milk, with the little toy which he loved, it was a little Mario toy this time. I got the Big Mac meal with large fries and a Coke. We ordered on the kiosk which was easy, no line at the counter, and our food came out in like 3 minutes, hot and fresh.
The Big Mac was exactly what I wanted, juicy, cheesy, that special sauce, pickles, lettuce, soft bun, it was messy in the best way. The fries were hot, crispy, salty, perfectly golden, we could not stop eating them. My son's nuggets were crispy outside, tender inside, he dipped them all in ketchup and ate every bite. The apple slices were fresh and cold, nice to have something light.
What I always appreciate about McDonald's is the consistency and speed, you know what you are getting, it is fast, affordable, kids love it, and the service was so friendly, the cashier brought extra napkins and sauces without us asking, smiled at my son, asked about his day.
We spent under $18 for both of us with drinks and it was plenty. For a quick, easy, familiar meal after a long day, it is perfect.
If you want fast food that is quick, clean, consistent, and family friendly, our local McDonald's is great. We go there once a week and it is always a good, easy experience for us.
