We were looking for authentic Mediterranean restaurant in Biscayne boulevard in Miami downtown and Mangal was such a great experience. We got their chicken shawarma, lamb platter, chicken platter and Lula kebab shawarma and all of it was delectable. The portions for the price are large and their service is very good. The owners Jihene and Anthony are very warm and friendly. Their baklavas will leave your taste buds wanting for more. I would definitely recommend Mangal to anyone in the area looking for authentic Mediterranean cuisine.

We had a great experience! Our waiter Hamza was incredibly friendly, attentive, and professional. He made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and gave excellent recommendations. The service was fast, and he checked on us just the right amount without being intrusive. Thank you for making our dinner even more enjoyable. Highly recommend this place!
Ordered for the first time via Ubereats.
1) The chicken shawarma was cold, as if it was prepared hours ago, and the chicken did not have shawarma taste to it. Filled with cabbage and tahini sauce and not much more.
2) The Borscht soup was cold (as if it had been sitting in refrigerator overnight)
3) Yellow rice was stale and chewy, almost rubbery
4) Complimentary baklava looked old, as if it was frozen previously.
Not the quality I expected given the other reviews.
I had mixed feelings about this Mediterranean restaurant. The atmosphere was pleasant and welcoming, and the menu was surprisingly diverse, offering dishes from Georgia, Turkey, and Israel. While it's an unusual combination, I appreciated the variety.
The biggest issue was the service coming out of the kitchen. On a Friday night, there was only one chef handling dine-in tables, takeout orders, and delivery orders. The kitchen was clearly overwhelmed, and the wait times reflected it. When customers are hungry and the restaurant is busy, having a single chef trying to manage everything is not a great look.
To start, the pita bread was fresh and delicious, especially paired with the white sauce. I ordered the lamb platter, but unfortunately they were already out of the salad that normally comes with it, which was disappointing. That said, the portions were generous, and the lamb itself was cooked very well—tender, flavorful, and easily the highlight of the meal.
One thing I noticed was that the chef was cutting raw lamb shawarma and cooking it on the grill to keep up with demand. While I understand the pressure of being understaffed, it highlighted just how backed up the kitchen was. If the restaurant can't keep up with customer volume, especially during peak hours, it may be time to bring in additional help.
Overall, the food quality was good, particularly the lamb, and the portions were satisfying. However, the kitchen struggles and lack of staffing significantly impacted the experience. I'd consider returning for the food, but only if the restaurant improves its ability to handle busy nights.

Mangaal has become our go-to neighborhood spot in Edgewater — we’re regulars for a reason. Brought my brother here for lunch during his visit from out of town and he was just as impressed as I always am. The shared meat platter is the star of the show; it’s hard to find this kind of authentic Georgian and Mediterranean flavor combo anywhere else in the city. Hamza took great care of us and was so accommodating — really makes the experience even better. Great food, great service, and exactly the kind of local gem you want in your own neighborhood. Highly recommend, especially if you’re new to Georgian cuisine and want a great intro.
