I ordered 4 bowls to eat the following day, so I asked if the lettuce and tomato could be put on the side so I could heat the food without heating the fresh toppings. The employee who prepared my order said it was okay, but I was never told there would be an additional charge for this. When I went to pay, Wendy charged me without explaining the extra fee. I only noticed it on my receipt under “Sides.” When I asked why I was being charged, she responded with an extremely rude attitude. I asked to speak with the manager, and she told me she was the manager. When I explained that I had never been informed about the additional charge, her response was basically, “Well, now you know for next time.” That response was incredibly disrespectful and unprofessional. I would have completely understood the charge if someone had simply explained it to me beforehand. I am 9 months pregnant, and I was treated with absolutely no courtesy or respect. Wendy even walked away while I was still speaking to her. The problem was not the extra charge—it was the lack of communication and the terrible attitude. If Wendy is truly the manager, Chipotle seriously needs to address the way customers are being treated at this location.
