I’ve been coming to Vanilla Espresso for a while now, and it’s become one of my favorite spots in Miami Lakes. The coffee is always delicious, the food is fresh, and the atmosphere is cozy and welcoming.
A special thank you to Danny, who always goes above and beyond to make everyone feel like family. His kindness, attention to detail, and friendly personality make every visit even better. You can tell he truly cares about his customers.
If you’re looking for great coffee, tasty food, and outstanding service, I highly recommend Vanilla Espresso. It’s a local gem that’s definitely worth visiting!

Today I accompanied my mother and my brother to Vanilla Espresso French Café to celebrate my brother’s birthday. Unfortunately, what was supposed to be a pleasant occasion turned into a very uncomfortable experience because of the attitude of a waiter named Dani.
My mother made a very simple and reasonable request: that her cappuccino not be served too hot. When the matter was mentioned again, instead of responding professionally, he made sarcastic and inappropriate comments. What made the situation worse was that once he realized his remark was not well received, he continued with the same attitude rather than apologizing.
As a family member who witnessed the entire interaction, I can say it was clear that there was a lack of tact, respect, and professionalism. No one was asking for anything unusual—just courteous and respectful service.
I believe that people who work directly with the public should know how to treat customers with respect, especially when they are celebrating a special occasion.
The food may be good, but service is also an important part of the overall experience. It is disappointing that a birthday celebration was overshadowed by the attitude of an employee who clearly does not understand what it means to provide good customer service.

Today I accompanied my mother and my brother to Vanilla Espresso French Café to celebrate my brother’s birthday. Unfortunately, what should have been a pleasant family gathering turned into an uncomfortable experience because of our server, Dani.
My mother made a very simple and reasonable request: that her cappuccino not be served extremely hot. Later, when the request was politely mentioned again, instead of responding professionally, Dani made a sarcastic comment asking if she wanted ice in it. When it was clear that the comment was not appreciated, he continued with the same attitude rather than offering a polite response.
As someone who witnessed the entire interaction, I found his behavior disrespectful, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. We were not asking for anything special—just basic courtesy and good customer service.
I am leaving a photo of the server so management can easily identify him. In my opinion, anyone working in customer service should know how to treat guests with respect, especially when they are celebrating a special occasion.
It’s unfortunate because the food was good, but service is just as important as the food. A birthday celebration should not be overshadowed by the poor attitude of an employee. Based on this experience, I would think twice before returning or recommending this restaurant to others.

I want to share the disappointing experience I had today at Vanilla Espresso French Café.
I went there with my son to celebrate his birthday, as we had visited the place before and enjoyed the food. However, the service we received from the waiter, Dani, was very unpleasant.
Right from the start, we made a simple request: that my cappuccino not be too hot. Later, when we politely mentioned it again, he responded sarcastically, asking if I wanted him to add ice to it. When my son told him he didn't find that funny, he replied, "That’s my middle name."
I found this response disrespectful, unprofessional, and completely unnecessary. Customers deserve to be treated with courtesy, especially when making a reasonable request respectfully.
I am including a photo of the waiter so that management can identify him. I consider his attitude rude, arrogant, and highly inappropriate for someone working in a customer-facing role.
It is a shame because we liked the food, but the poor service and lack of respect turned a family celebration into an unpleasant experience. I do not plan to return to this place, nor would I recommend it, as long as they allow this type of treatment toward customers.

I am very disappointed with the service I received today at Vanilla Espresso French Café.
This was only my second visit. I returned because I enjoyed the food the first time and decided to come back to celebrate my birthday. Unfortunately, Dani’s attitude completely ruined the experience.
On several occasions, I made a very simple request: that my mom’s cappuccino not be excessively hot. When I finally had the chance to mention it to him, his response was, “Do you want me to add ice?” When I told him that I found that response unprofessional, he replied, “That’s my middle name.”
Honestly, I found it completely disrespectful. His attitude was arrogant, dismissive, and entirely inappropriate. When a customer raises a concern, the response should be professional, not sarcastic or mocking. I wasn't asking for a handout or special treatment; I was paying for a service and expected a basic level of courtesy and politeness.
I am including a photo of the waiter so management can easily identify him. I consider his behavior rude, high-handed, and unprofessional. No customer should feel uncomfortable or belittled for respectfully sharing an observation.
It is a shame, because the food is good which is precisely why I came back. However, customer service is just as important as the food, and an attitude like this can drive customers away for good.
