I am copying and pasting my email I sent to an operations manager that I got off of a business card at this location. It’s been about 1 week with no response. I am pasting mostly exactly what I emailed, however due to Google restricting the characters here, I removed some stuff. This location was disappointing.
I wanted to bring to your attention some things that came up during my visit to your store tonight. My friend and I were in town for vacation and decided to come in.
The environment was in fact fun.
We got to the store around 10pm. We had a bay “scheduled” to 1015. We went to the bar, where there was currently no guests at (including no party visible in the area and no drinks being made, which I will address in a later statement). There was two bar tenders behind the bar, 1 guy who appeared to be stocking and 1 female who was wiping dishes and on a phone. The male was telling another girl on the side of the bar, what sounded like some stock he needed. All three of these staff members directly looked at us and did not greet us. We ended up getting up, and going to get in line for our bay. I attempted to address a lady who appeared to be a manager in the lobby area but she completely walked away. It’s possible she didn’t notice me but I was almost face to face, saying “excuse me mam” so, her attentiveness was not there.
Hans was our server and he was extremely friendly. Hans was a top notch server who did his best and was prompt with service.
My friend had the top golf tea, which was less than desirable and seemed low quality.
At the end, a girl by the name of Rachel came over when we had 12 minutes left, asking if we wanted to extend. We did not based on the drinks and service (or lack there of) at the beginning which really set the tone for the visit. Thankfully Hans was friendly. Rachel then cashed our bill out. My friend put a $4 tip on the tab, with the intention of leaving a CASH tip outside of that. Rachel came back to the table asking about the $4 tip on the card and if everything was okay with the service. We expressed that Hans was great but explained our lack of service at the beginning. Rachel went to the bar, asked the bartenders (allegedly) and she came back, telling us the bar tenders were dealing with a large party. The large party showed up at the bar after we had walked away, ironically in the same area as we were sitting which was directly in line of sight for the bartenders. So, they were not dealing with the large party because as I mentioned previously, they were not making drinks. Had that been the case, the bartenders did not even bother to say they would be with us shortly, however, their actions do not reflect them helping a large party.
It seemed extremely inappropriate for Rachel to approach and ask about the tip the way that she did. She did not introduce herself as a manager (if she is) and it seemed as a ploy for more money for the employee. Which again, we had intentions of leaving a cash tip.
We ordered food. My friend had a patty melt and fries, I got Boneless wings. We had to ask for silverware, which no big deal things happen. My friends silverware, as you should see in the picture, was obviously still dirty but wrapped anyway in the napkin.
The front lighting should be looked at since it is half out including on the steps. It makes the location look run down.
However, the bigger concern is the lack of service at the bar. That was money lost for your business based on the fact it could have been two more drinks sold. If that happens a lot, that ends up being a huge loss. Rachel’s approach is also a large concern as it did not seem as though the service was what she was genuinely concerned about.
I do typically leave Google reviews and in most cases I do not like to leave negative feedback there and rather give it to the business directly. That being said, I have not yet left a negative review on Google Reviews. (Since no response to the email, here is the Google review)
