I left this place sick to my stomach after seeing the bill. The waiter was great and very friendly. She did not disclose that water cost $12, we didn’t even touch the water, we didn’t ask for it. It was the first question asked to us when we sat down, we were unaware of the hidden charge. The happy hour drink special was not clearly advertised, so $20 for 2 bottles of Michelob ultra was surprising to see on the bill. The happy hour food portions were small and lacked flavor - at least we knew what we were getting into because the prices were listed on the menu. For $10 each for the food items, we assumed we would’ve gotten some bigger portions of simple appetizer foods - but shame on us for assuming. There was a 20% service charge and resort tax? This restaurant isn’t in a resort it’s on the side of the road, but whatever. When the bill came and I saw that it was $80, I was astounded. $80 for 2 beers, 3 TINY portions of food, and a bottle of water we didn’t even want! It’s a shame because the waitress was super nice and outgoing - hopefully she finds a better place to work other than this scam that they call a restaurant.

Wow! The best Cuban sandwich I have ever eaten. The pork was tender and well seasoned. The beef empanadas were excellent too. We can’t wait to come back to Miami to just have dinner here again. Thanks Bel for your excellent service!
Amazing food. We ordered the ropa vieja tacos, grilled octopus, beef and chicken empanadas with a side of tostones. Everything was great. Their mojitos were really good for the price point. Our only issue was with our server Marco. Aside from the fact that he wasn’t that attentive to our table (which we can understand as we also work in hospitality), when I asked him if “operational charges” were gratuity he stated it was not gratuity but merely “operational costs” from the restaurant (even though it showed a 20% charge) and that tip would be added after my card was ran. However. the receipt explained that “operational charge” is gratuity. Me and my partner had such a great time up to the moment our server was trying to scam us of an extra $50 (not including the $40 we were already paying from the operational charge included in the bill). Management need to do better in training their staff and on over sighting their service. Service was subpar to deserve 20% much less 30-40%.

To start, I do a lot of reviews and make sure to post on my experience only. I do not read restaurant's past reviews until I have made my review, so I can be fair and honest. I have someone else check reviews before we try a new place. The atmosphere was great, the staff were friendly and checked in often when it was slow, but as it got busy they tended to other tables as expected. The food has mixed reviews, some were ok, the rest bland to terrible. I'm not sure if it was just an off night or just my experience. When it was time for the bill, they had mixed up 3 receipts pretty badly. We had 3 families in total, but we were all paying separately, and we tried to sit at 3 different tables so nobody would get mixed up (meaningwe told them we are all friends, but we are not together as a group). However they put everything together and forced a 20% gratuity on top of each separate receipt. One of the receipts had a $12 bottle of water that nobody ordered, they handed ice water to all of us, some ordered cokes and others Happy Hour drinks. So check your receipts. I'm mixed on whether I would try this place again or not.

If I could give this place zero stars I seriously would. So yesterday i decided to go out to South Beach an hour away from where I live, and low and behold, a restaurant that was advertising a very good happy hour deal was right in front of us. I decided that 10$ for a meal wasn’t bad at all. We were greeted with smiles and welcomed in a polite manner. Thus, there were no other customers dining in, we thought maybe we should give it a try.
So my friend and I sat to eat. We waited approximately 10-15 minutes until the server took our order. We both decided to have burgers especially because I hadn’t had one in a while. My friend asked for a side of pickles, which she did not get until we asked for them 3 times. I honestly think that was the best item on the menu. Thin, and delightful, along with the fries.
Now diving in further,
I specifically asked my server for the burger to be cooked well done. When we both received our burgers they were not only undercooked on the inside, they were literally pink! Also, the bun was so crispy, you would’ve thought I was eating sand at a desert. I kindly complained to our server, and she agreed to remake it. That then took another 30 minutes approximately to cook. Although the bread was cooked better this time, the burgers were bland and had little to no taste. I wonder if they even used seasoning. It took a very long time for us to even receive our receipt. We then received our receipt, and instantly noticed one burger was charged on the bill when we ordered two. I found it strange, but not too strange because I assumed it was because of the trouble I endured waiting for my food and such. As me and my friend were approaching my vehicle, the server said she’s sorry but she only charged me for one burger and that she needed to run my card again to charge me for the second burger because she forgot to charge me for it. At this moment, this is all the while customers our outside dining watching this all go down.. How embarrassing! I explained to the server that i understood that the discount was for the hassle with the food and she replied no. I then told her that I will not pay for the burger because the service was horrible. She then decides to flip out on me again, in front of other customers yelling VERY loudly and said she will pay for it out of her own pocket, making a chaotic scene. This is all after I even left her a tip even though the service was absolute trash. I felt so uncomfortable that I decided to move my car elsewhere to enjoy the rest of my stay on South Beach. Today, I decided to call to speak to a manager because I misplaced and item and believed it might have been there, and the woman who answered the phone told me “no” and hung up. I then called back again, and she hung up immediately. Horrible food, horrible staff, and super unprofessional. I would not recommend this place AT ALL. Save yourself the headache and stomach ache, and most definitely save your money in these hard times. Go somewhere else where they will treat you like a hard working human being who deserves to be treated fairly and simply wants to enjoy a good meal.
