- KBKirstin BuntingMay 13, 20262.0This evening, my husband and I placed a mobile order for 5 Guys. I ordered a grilled cheese add Mayo, add bacon, add a patty. The total for the sandwich before tax came out to be $10.49. Upon unwrapping it, I discovered there was no patty on the sandwich so I brought it in to be resolved. The older woman greeted me and I explained the issue to which she immediately started talking over me saying “Well you should have ordered a patty melt. They did that because you didn’t order a patty melt. It would have been cheaper to order a patty melt.” Never apologized for the mistake, but sure pointed out my “mistake”. I investigated…to order a patty melt and add bacon comes to a grand total of…$10.49 before tax! So no, I shouldn’t have ordered a patty melt, my sandwich simply should have been made as I ordered it and I surely shouldn’t have been treated the way I was. Don’t blame customers for your mistakes and do some simple addition before making false statements and making a fool of yourself.

Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.
