My experience at Delish was disappointing. I ordered the griot goat, and unfortunately the meat was so tough that I could barely chew it. I had to send the meal back and have it replaced. I also want to confirm what happened with my husband's fish order because I was sitting there and heard the conversation myself. Before ordering, my husband specifically asked the server about the price of the fish. I clearly heard her say **$15, $16, and $17**. My husband even questioned the price because my meal was quoted at about **$31** and our friend's meal was about **$28**, so he wondered how the fish could be less expensive. I never heard the server explain that those prices were per pound or that his fish would end up costing **$77.52**. If we had been clearly told beforehand that the fish would cost more than $70, my husband would not have ordered it. The two meals I was paying for had been quoted at approximately **$31 and $28**, which is about **$59 before tax and tip**. My final card charge was **$90.15**. My husband's fish was charged separately at **$77.52**. When the issue came up about the price of my husband's fish, I ultimately paid for his meal as well because I did not want the situation to escalate. We were there to enjoy ourselves, not to have an argument over a restaurant bill. For me, the biggest issue was communication. When a customer specifically asks the price before ordering, especially for an item priced by weight, that should be clearly explained before the order is placed so the customer understands approximately what the final cost will be.

The food at Delish was great . The fried snapper was tasty and well cooked. But I had a confusing experience with pricing. I was told what I thought were 15, 16, or 17 dollar options and said yes to the 17 dollar one. After eating, the bill came to 77 dollars. The staff said she had said70, but that’s not what I heard. It was an uncomfortable situation and thankfully my wife was able to cover it. Clear pricing confirmation before ordering would prevent this. Great food, but communication needs improvement.... Response to owner - Thank you for responding, but I want to clarify what actually happened because the issue is not simply that I didn't like the price. Before ordering, I specifically asked the server about the price of the fish. She told me **$15, $16, and $17**. In fact, I questioned her because my wife had been told her goat meal was around **$31**, and our friend's meal was around **$28**. I specifically asked how the seafood could cost less than the goat. At no point did she explain to me that the $17 was **per pound**, nor did she tell me that the fish I was ordering would cost approximately **$70–$77**. Had I been told before ordering that my fish would cost around $70 or more, **I would not have ordered it.** That is the entire issue. My wife received her bill first for approximately $70 for the meals she was paying for, plus tips bring her total $90.15. Then my separate bill was brought to me for **$77.52 for my meal**. I was shocked because that was completely different from the price I understood I had been quoted before ordering. I am not disputing that the restaurant may price whole fish by weight. I am saying that **this was never clearly explained to me before I ordered**. When a customer specifically asks the price before ordering, especially for a market-price item, the pricing should be clearly explained so the customer knows approximately what they are agreeing to pay. I have a photo of the meal as it was served. My concern remains the same: **I asked the price before ordering, and if I had been told the fish would cost approximately $70–$77, I would have chosen something else.**

The food is very delicious and well-seasoned. The service, however, is very slow; even if you order ahead.
