I pulled up to the drive-thru and waited almost two minutes at the speaker with no response. I even thought it might be broken. Eventually, someone answered and I ordered the new “Bananamara Matcha.” I repeated my order three times, but the employee said it didn’t exist. She then called another employee, who understood my order.
When I got to the window, she said it was already paid for, but I told her I hadn’t paid. Then, with a sarcastic expression, she said, “Oh, you’re the ‘match boy,’ right?” I looked at her and said yes. She replied that I never said “matcha,” only “bananamara.” I told her I had said it, but maybe the microphone wasn’t working properly, since I had been waiting there for almost two minutes trying to get someone to respond.
She kept insisting that I didn’t say it and even said that I speak very poorly. Then she closed the window in my face. At first, I thought it was something personal, but after reading other reviews, I realized others have experienced the same kind of behavior.
