  We visited twice. The first time was wonderful. The service was attentive and accommodating, the host staff were fantastic, and overall we had a really enjoyable experience. The food was good, although quite expensive for what it is. Unfortunately, our second visit was disappointing. We were again greeted by the same lovely host staff, who continued to be excellent, but the service from our server really let the experience down. One person at our table had an allergy, and our server seemed to have very limited knowledge of the menu and ingredients. The meal also felt extremely rushed from start to finish. Our starters and mains arrived at the same time, and the food itself was not as good as it had been on our first visit. While we were still eating, we were offered dessert, then more drinks while we still had drinks on the table. After declining, we were immediately asked “cash or card?” and presented with the bill despite the table still being full of food. The restaurant was not busy. We were one of only two tables in the section, and we had not been there particularly long, so the rush felt unnecessary and uncomfortable. The host staff and food runners were genuinely the standout part of both visits and deserve recognition for how friendly and welcoming they were.
