  We were so excited to try this restaurant after our amazing experience at Rainforest Café in Disney Springs…but we would NEVER go back to T. Rex Café. Completely different experiences. It was really busy (they can’t help that), but it was also ridiculously loud, freezing cold and over crowded! Like they had mashed an extra 30 tables too many into the restaurant. They also seemed very understaffed. Tables sat without being bussed for the entire time we were there which was at least an hour and a half. The bathroom was a mess! 5 of the stalls were out of toilet paper, despite having seen a custodian in there. All of the trash cans were overflowing, paper towels all over the floor, several of the toilet paper holders/sanitary napkin bins were barely hanging on and one fell off while I was on the neighboring stall. The log sheet on the wall for the day that showed the bathroom was serviced every 1/2 hour or hour (not sure which) hadn’t been updated since 3:15pm and it was 9:30PM. And the food, they did make our food without allergens, but it paled in comparison. Which is sad because it’s basically just the same menu as Rainforest. But my husband’s steak was definitely undercooked and we had to send it back to get it medium rare and not really rare. Our server did a good job. As best she could while waiting too many tables and with it being so busy. Truly, when comparing with Rainforest this just seems like a real management problem. We didn’t complain or anything, but I did let the hostesses know on our way out that the bathroom was almost out of toilet paper. To which they looked at one another and said “do you even know where we keep the toilet paper?”…which made me think they really must have had a lot of staff call in sick or something.

  The T-Rex café is operated by the same people behind the similar Rainforest Café (also at Disney Springs) The entrance area was a bit crowded, with the shop and bar next to each other and a small walkway for restaurant diners. There is a huge animatronic T-Rex at the entrance which is a nice touch. The exact theme is hard to pin down - most of the restaurant is themed similarly to the rainforest café, other parts are themed around the ice age - talking of the ice age, the air conditioning was on full whack which did cause some discomfort after about 20/30 minutes. I went for the bronto burger with fries. Very reasonable, the burger meat itself was smash style with American cheese. Absolutely delicious, both beef patties were cooked to perfection. The fries were dusted in a seasoning, they were also delicious. Drinks were refilled without asking, another plus.

  T-Rex is located in Disney springs in Orlando Florida and serves up a big menu with choices for the whole family. The establishment is heavily themed, with various animatronics, lighting packages and waterfalls making for a very cool setting. It is one of if not the best themed restaurant I have dined at. Our group had the bbq bacon cheeseburger, a double and triple bronto burger and the paleozoic chicken sandwich, all of which were delicious. It was very busy when we arrived, the line went out of the door. It is essential to prebook. The staff were friendly, the service was quick and the food was great. I highly recommend!

  Experience: Honestly worse restaurant experience I've had in a long time. Had a reservation at 10pm for a birthday and was sat in the back corner next to where the staff enters and exists. We ordered out food at 10:10 and we got our food around 11:20. Keep in mind the park closes at 11:30. So when we're finally eating everyone is cleaning and sweeping around us. It's pretty awkward to sing a happy birthday and eat cake when all the workers are cleaning and trying to leave. So we took our cake and left. Will pass along this experience to friends and family that come to Disney. I really don't want any one else trip ruined Food: steak had no flavor. We received our order of chicken after basically finishing our food.

  Been here before, usually exceptional service and atmosphere, especially for the kids. Sadly our server wasn't at the usual standard we've come to expect. Already addressed this via Landrys contact form, but never had a reply, so unhappy with their customer service after as well. No checking if we are Landrys Select Club members or any celebrations like other servers. Lack of presence, especially compared to the 2 other servers nearby. We had a birthday in our group who missed out on the usual complementary dessert and song because of this, also we had to ask after receiving the bill for our Landrys discount on our card. Couldn't find our server and had to go to the front and ask the greeters for assistance. Food took around 35 minutes to be received, when we asked our server about the delay, as people who say down after we had ordered were already beng served, we were told that there are different kitchens for different things so times vary, no apology or offer to check how long our order might be, as the kids were starting to get agitated at this point. Food was good at least, but poor service and missing out on the birthday treat and song was quite upsetting. As I said above, i have used their contact form after to address this, and haven't had a response.
