Had the Prime Rib with the Horseradish sauce. It was THE best Prime Rib I've ever had. My husband said the same about his. The only downfall if anything I would say is it was kind of loud in there the night we ate. But our server was fantastic and the food was great!

There was absolutely nothing special about the lunch experience at this Contemporary Resort restaurant. For all the great reviews calling it "amazing" I was shocked by bland meat sandwiches that came in very small portions on soggy buns along with maybe a dozen tiny fries. This was not filling nor worth $24 each. The atmosphere was clean school lunchroom--where is the design that integrates Disney? And for some odd reason, with the place over half empty, they insisted on putting us right next to another group of three on the banquette seating, three feet apart, so we could hear each other's conversations despite no one sitting within other six tables on the bench the entire time we were there. The server acted brisk but uncaring, the staff at the reservation desk seemed unhappy or bored, and the whole operation lacked sparkle that should come with a Disney operation. At the end I said that I enjoyed the food and atmosphere at the loud Yacht & Beach Club Beaches & Cream Soda Shop more than this dull place. If there were a next time, I'd avoid ordering the smallish sandwiches and ask to be moved away from others to one of the many vacant spots. But there won't be a next time.

Came here again for lunch and sat at the bar since we were a walk-in and they weren’t taking walk-ins in the dining room, which was disappointing as there were plenty of seats, but I know they have to regulate things. That being said Service at the bar was very friendly, although a very limited menu. I got the steakhouse burger and we also had French onion soup which was so amazing especially since it was cold and rainy outside. Will definitely try to stop back here again.

Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort – A Review That’s Mostly About the Incredible Hospitality
I recently dined at Steakhouse 71 during a trip to Walt Disney World, and while the food, atmosphere, and overall experience were excellent, what truly elevated the entire evening was the outstanding service—specifically from the Maitre d’ Jalen. She was, without a doubt, the greatest.
From the moment we walked in, Jalen greeted us with a warmth and professionalism that felt genuinely personal. She has this perfect blend of Disney magic and real-deal restaurant expertise. She remembered our reservation details, made us feel like VIPs even though we were just a regular family visiting from Orlando. Jalen clearly takes pride in her role and leads with honesty and care, treating every guest like they’re the most important person in the room. In an industry where things can sometimes feel scripted, her authenticity stood out. She made our night unforgettable and turned a good meal into a memorable experience. The additional Maitre d’ Ryan was also fantastic and complemented Jalen perfectly. Ryan brought the same level of energy and attentiveness.
As for the rest of the meal: The restaurant itself has a stylish 1970s retro vibe reimagined for today—think sleek lines, comfortable seating, and fun nods to Disney history and Florida flair (Orange Bird sightings included). It’s relaxed enough for casual Disney attire but upscale enough to feel special.
Overall, Steakhouse 71 is a winner for its convenient location at the Contemporary (easy monorail or walk access), solid menu, and chill atmosphere. But Jalen? She’s the reason we’ll be back. Her integrity, warmth, and excellence made it feel like more than just dinner—it felt like being truly taken care of. Five stars, easily. Go for the steaks, stay for the service led by legends like Jalen and Ryan. Highly recommended!

Not really a steakhouse. Just steakhouse prices. It has the ambiance of a Golden Corral. Bright. Noisy. Crowded. Nard surface tables. Not the dim, quiet, serene, table cloth and napkin kinda place "steakhouse" evokes.
We started with $10 Caesars. They were typical. The croutons had a hint of sweet. Maybe cornbread?
Filet $48, NY Strip $38 and the pan seared chicken were flavorfully. The steaks from a "steakhouse" one might expect a nice crust from a 1500° grill served hot and sizzling. No. Kinda mushy and warm. No crust. The "Charred Asparagus" is no longer charred we were told, people complained about the char. Instead it was "hard". Barely cooked, it was snapping hard.
We chose to forgo dessert. The table next to us got chocolate cake and they were huge 11 layer pieces. Each got their own and no one came close to finishing. Order your piece accordingly!
Probably would not return to this Disney restaurant.
