Authentic Japanese food in Epcot. Food was good but paying theme park prices. Sushi was fresh. The restaruant has nice decor. Service was hit or miss.

Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya is a Japanese restaurant located in the Japan Pavilion at Epcot, focusing on sushi, sashimi, izakaya-style dishes, and traditional Japanese comfort foods. The restaurant has a more relaxed sit-down dining experience compared to the quick-service options around the park, with a calm atmosphere that makes it a nice break from a busy day at Epcot. The menu offers a good mix of sushi and cooked dishes, making it accessible whether you are looking for something light or a more filling meal. The sashimi and nigiri options highlight the fresh seafood, while dishes like the unagi don and bento boxes provide heartier choices. The wagyu gyoza is another popular option, adding a richer and more savory dish to balance out the sushi selections. The presentation is thoughtful, and the portions work well for a theme park dining experience. One of the biggest advantages of Shiki-Sai is the atmosphere. Being located inside Epcot’s Japan Pavilion already gives it a unique setting, and the dining room provides a quieter environment away from the crowds outside. If you get a window seat, the view of the park adds another layer to the meal, especially during nighttime when you can watch the fireworks from the restaurant. Service was one of the stronger parts of the experience, with attentive staff who were helpful with menu questions and made the meal feel well-paced. Reservations are highly recommended, especially during busier park days, as sit-down restaurants in Epcot can fill up quickly. Overall, Shiki-Sai is a great option for anyone looking for a more authentic Japanese meal while visiting Epcot. The combination of sushi, traditional dishes, attentive service, and a relaxing atmosphere makes it stand out from the more casual food options in the park. It is especially worth considering if you want a slower-paced dinner and a chance to enjoy the Japan Pavilion beyond just walking through it.

Waitress was rude and rushed us. My wife ordered two drinks and the waitress asked if we were sure the order was correct. She stated “Are you sure you want this? It’s $8.00.” Not to mention she didn’t explain the whole menu and only wanted us to get the prefix. The meals were subpar. I also had to ask twice for a tea refill. The second pot of tea only had enough for one cup. When the check come she immediately came with the credit card machine before we started eating our desserts and as soon as I put my fork down she came with the credit card machine again. I still tipped her 18% which she didn’t deserve but I always usually tip 20% or above. Will not be returning to this restaurant.

Uma imitação pobre e triste da culinária japonesa, mas suponho que adequada ao paladar americano turístico, então tantas 5 estrelas. Não espere mais do que comida de parque americano, com preços inflados.
