What a huge disappointment. All the pictures online show you sitting in a car looking towards the front of the theater. Ya know, a traditional style drive-in. The hostess took us to our "car" and it was nothing more than a regular dinning table facing sideways and not towards the front. I asked for seating like they advertise (car style) and they said we'd have to wait another 40 minutes. Note, we had a 2 month old reservation and we were on time for our lunch. The hostess called the manager for us who finally came over about 15 minutes later. He said he apologized but that's all he could do. Another note here, there were multiple other cars with forward seating empty or being emptied. Our kids were super disappointed not to sit in a drive-in car. The hostess and the manager were super unaccommodating and put the ownership on us. On another disappointing note, the food was horrible. My father and I ordered the chicken sandwich and they both came out harder than leather. My daughter's chicken skewer was cold. She asked for a lemonade and got a coke. The waiter made an extra shake and didnt know what to do with it. Oh, and the floor was dirty from the customers before us. Gross! Complete false advertising, lack of management, lack of customer experience, and horrible food. After all the hype we had about this dining experience, it absolutely ruined our day.
Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant was one of the most unique dining experiences of our Walt Disney World vacation.
The atmosphere is fantastic. Dining in classic cars while watching old sci-fi movie clips on the big screen really makes you feel like you've stepped back in time. I'm old enough to remember drive-in theaters, so this brought back a lot of great memories. š
Service was definitely on the slow side. In fact, we ended up watching the movie clips loop several times while waiting for our meal. Fortunately, we weren't in a rush, and the atmosphere made the wait enjoyable.
The food was very good, and the milkshakes were outstanding. Both were well worth ordering.
If you're looking for a quick meal, this probably isn't the place. But if you want a unique Disney dining experience with good food, great milkshakes, and a healthy dose of nostalgia, I'd absolutely recommend Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant. It's an experience as much as it is a meal.
Today was my daughterās birthday, and we made a reservation here to celebrate with our family. Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very disappointing experience.
She ordered the chicken wings, and on her very first bite, she discovered the chicken was raw. She immediately ran to the restroom because she felt sick. We called the manager, but the response was incredibly disappointing. There was little concern or empathy shown for what had happened. The only resolution offered was to remove the cost of her wings and my meal, since I couldnāt bring myself to eat after seeing the raw chicken.
What should have been a special birthday celebration ended on a very upsetting note. My daughter had been looking forward to eating here for a long time, and it was heartbreaking to see her birthday spoiled by something that should never happen. I sincerely hope the restaurant takes food safety and customer care more seriously so no other family has a similar experience.

Chef Luis at the Sci-Fi Dine-In restaurant was amazing! Our oldest Son(7) has food allergies and Chef Luis did some extra research after our server (who was also awesome) let him know about the allergies. Come to find out that after we ordered what we thought was āsafeā in fact was not due to āpea proteinā being in the ingredients of the fries. Chef Luis then took it upon himself to talk to our son and figure out a solution. He saw he was upset because of the limited menu and was able to make what our son wanted (chicken nuggets) in his own way to avoid cross contamination with the fry oil. He had the conversation with us and took full control of the situation and made my sonās night as well as ours! He should be Executive Chef 100%. The attention to detail and the way he and the server handled the situation was overall the reason we keep coming back to Disney. They are so careful with allergies and never make it seem like itās an inconvenience.

This is one of our family's favorite restaurants across DW. The theme is great, the service is great, and the wait time for food is quick. One of their feature burgers from a long time ago also became a favorite we works make at home even (Boursin burger). Today, I ordered the fried chicken sandwich. It is spicy, but I love spicy things! The fries are matchstick fries. The fries weren't very hot, and the chicken was tough in several places, making it hard to chew. I didn't finish it. I asked my son for a bite of his kid's cheeseburger, but it wasn't much better. The bun didn't taste fresh, the burger wasn't hot. All the kids loved their Oreo milkshakes! Our server was amazing! Polite, quick, attentive. We will come back for sure, just probably going to order something different.
