This was the first restaurant I tried while staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge and after doing a lot of research, I was really looking forward to it. I understand the menu is heavily Indian and African inspired, which made it a little outside my normal comfort zone, but overall it was a good experience.
The naan bread absolutely lived up to the hype. Definitely worth ordering. It was so good I brought leftovers back to my room and reheated it the next day.
I ordered the flat iron steak. For someone who prefers medium and not fatty cuts of meat, it was okay. Mine leaned a little more rare and chewier than I personally like even though I requested medium, but the flavors were still good.
The service was really good throughout the meal. My only downside was the noise level. Staying at Kidani Village, I expected a slightly quieter and more relaxed atmosphere, but it was louder than I anticipated.
I also really wanted to try the Giraffe Tower Mousse dessert everyone talks about, but because I still had leftovers and ended up packing part of my meal to go, dessert never came up. Slightly bummed because I absolutely would have taken that to go too.

We love Sanaa and will continue to go here, my kids love seeing the animals and the food is always great! That being said, I didn't give 5 stars because the service could have been better...especially for a Disney resort. We went with our little kids with the plan to go for the bread service and then share a few desserts! The waitress seemed annoyed that we weren't ordering entrees, when I asked about the dessert menu right away (with little ones we like to be quick to order) she said "oh that comes after" and then only brought it once we were close to being done the naan. We ordered alcoholic drinks and Non, bread service, and 2 desserts so I don't see why we'd have to order an entree? She then also told her colleague "just bread and drinks for these guys!" It just was off putting and made us feel "cheap" even though we still spent over $100 and still gave a tip... Also not sure why it matters to her what we order.
Ps- the giraffe dessert was phenomenal!

One of the worst meals I have ever ate. Everyone raves for the bread…. If frozen food could be reheated this is your place. All the raving reviews are most likely from people that like Applebee’s kind of meals which a matter of fact I would put above! The prices and food was disgusting. Also I ordered two cheeseburger kids meals… the patty for hamburger was a hockey puck and the bread was stale. I’m upset I wasted my time coming to this restaurant and paying a pretty penny. Next time Applebees it is! Yuck
Only plus is atmosphere….

We live close to WDW so we go often. We have tried Sanaa a couple times and of course love the Bread service. I'm partial to the spicy dips. However, this time for dinner, my wife got the pork and asked for a bit more of the red wine reduction. It came and she tasted it. She then asked me to taste the reduction. Now, I don't know if they buy it or the Chef makes it but if the Chef makes it, they need to bottle it and sell it in the hotel store. It was beyond phenomenal. So good, (and not proud of this) that I forgot my restaurant etiquette and discreetly used my finger, to get every last bit from its container. It should also be added to the Bread Service.
In any case, Kudos to whomever came up with the idea of this version of red wine reduction and it should be used in all Disney restaurants. Maybe even brand it Disney Red Wine Reduction.

Just wrapped up dinner with the family at Sanaa, and it’s a zero-hesitation 5 out of 5.
Look, the first thing that hits you when you walk through the doors isn't even the view—it's the smell. The aromas coming out of that kitchen are absolutely incredible and set the tone immediately.
We started with the legendary Indian-style bread service with all the dips. Believe the hype you read online; everyone mentions it for a reason. For the mains, my wife had the Butter Chicken, and I went with the Potjie-inspired Braised Beef and the chickpea dish. The food was phenomenal. But the ultimate dad metric is whether the kids are happy, and this place nailed it. My 14-year-old daughter loved her meal, and my 10-year-old son was totally thrilled with a pizza off the kids' menu. Zero complaints from the crew, which is a rare win.
The service was spot-on and attentive, but the environment is what makes this place unforgettable. You're literally sitting there eating an amazing meal while watching giraffes and wildlife cruise by the windows on the savanna. We capped off the night just walking around and exploring the rest of the Animal Kingdom Lodge grounds, which is an awesome experience on its own.
