The food was alright. We ordered the chicken rice bowl. My husband and I shared to save on cost and it filled us up enough to keep exploring the park. Free water at this location as well. This was our first time at this cafe and we accidentally stood in the wrong part of the order line; an employee redirected us and then complained to her co worker (they were standing immediately behind us) that “people don’t listen”. Disney staff are usually pretty chill but I did not feel good about hearing her make that comment when we simply didn’t know. When we ordered, the employee didn’t say a single word to us. Those two encounters back to back weren’t the Disney service I’ve experienced consistently in my previous visits to the parks/cafes. I understand having a bad day, however not saying a single word or complaining within ear shot seems inappropriate for Disney standards.

Sarah and I stopped at Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe in Frontierland for lunch on our 26th anniversary — our first Magic Kingdom day on annual passes. Midday, hungry, counter service. Service: 2/5. We ordered in person (next time we’d try mobile order). The line wasn’t terrible, but the whole flow felt disorganized — slow cashiers, people everywhere. After we ordered, we stood at pickup for a long stretch while our tray sat ready on the ledge for something like 10 minutes. We finally had to flag someone and say, “That’s ours.” The handoff felt annoyed. Food was fine; the wait for food that was already done was not. Food: 4/5. I had the bacon barbecue cheeseburger and queso fries — thick burger, a little dry, still good. Sarah had a chicken rice-and-bean bowl. Both solid. Prices felt fair (~$15 each), especially living near Lake Nona. We stuck to water. Atmosphere: 3/5. Classic outdoor quick-service Disney. It was a heat-advisory day (mid-90s, heat index over 100), everything packed, no free indoor tables when we looked. We found outdoor seats and made it work. Fine, not special. Bottom line: I’d go back for the food on a future pass day, especially with mobile order and lower expectations on service. Worth it if you’re already in Frontierland and want a quick burger — not a destination meal. Ryan 3/5 overall; Sarah 4/5.

Maybe it what was I ordered but I ordered the BBQ sandwich with fries. Sandwich was dry, bun feel apart from being stale and fries were cold. One and done for me

I wanted to eat here because of the salad offered here. It is a southwest salad which makes it unique and different. They have a large amount of indoor seating scattered in different rooms, and also a little but of outdoor seating. It is so loud in there when it gets busy. Also when it is busy the mobile ordering line just becomes a crazy free for all that was not organized and people cutting in line. It took a long time for my mobile order to be ready and then a long time to wait in line to get it. But the regular lines were long to order as well. When I finally did get my salad it had been sitting up on the counter with countless other people yelling and leaning over my salad as I waited in line and tried to waive that that was my salad. When I finally did get my salad it was a large portion and was pretty tasty for a theme park salad. I am glad I tried it, but I am not sure if I will be back.
