Ohana is one of the signature dining experiences at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, offering an all-you-can-enjoy family-style meal in a tropical setting inspired by the islands of Hawaii. The restaurant has a warm atmosphere with Polynesian décor, large windows overlooking Seven Seas Lagoon, and live Hawaiian music that helps make the meal feel like more than just another restaurant inside Walt Disney World. It is one of the harder Disney restaurants to book, so making reservations well in advance is usually necessary.
The meal begins with a variety of shared starters, including the famous pineapple-coconut bread, salad, chicken wings, and potstickers. The pineapple bread was easily one of my favorite parts of the meal, with a soft texture and subtle sweetness that made it hard to stop eating. Once the appetizers are finished, servers continuously bring skewers of grilled steak, shrimp, chicken, and sausage directly to the table until everyone is full. The meats are cooked over an open flame and have a slightly smoky flavor, while the shrimp and steak stood out as the highlights during my visit.
The biggest reason many people remember 'Ohana is the dessert. Their warm bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream and caramel sauce has become one of the restaurant's signature dishes for good reason. The combination of the soft bread pudding, rich caramel sauce, and cold ice cream creates a dessert that easily lives up to its reputation. Even after a very filling meal, it was worth saving room for the final course.
The atmosphere adds a lot to the overall experience. Live musicians regularly walk through the dining room playing Hawaiian music, which fits perfectly with the Polynesian theme without becoming overwhelming. If you are seated near the windows during the evening, you may also be able to see the fireworks from Magic Kingdom across the lagoon, making dinner feel even more special. While the views are not guaranteed from every table, timing your reservation around the nighttime fireworks can be worthwhile.
Service was friendly and attentive throughout the meal, and the family-style format made it easy to relax without constantly ordering additional food. Since everything is brought directly to the table, the pace feels comfortable, and the staff regularly checks to see if you would like additional portions of any of the meats or sides. The restaurant is extremely popular, so it can be lively and somewhat noisy during peak dining hours.
Overall, 'Ohana remains one of the most memorable dining experiences at Walt Disney World. The combination of unlimited grilled meats, signature bread pudding, Polynesian atmosphere, and excellent service makes it easy to understand why reservations are so competitive. If you are looking for a special sit-down meal during your Disney trip, this is one of the restaurants I would prioritize.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ An Unforgettable Father's Day at 'Ohana
We celebrated Father's Day at 'Ohana and it was nothing short of magical. From the moment we walked in, the warm Polynesian atmosphere made us feel like family — exactly what the name promises.
The food was outstanding. The all-you-care-to-eat family-style service kept the table full of incredible dishes — the bread pudding alone was worth the trip. Every plate was flavorful, generous, and brought out with great timing.
The staff truly made the night special. They were attentive, friendly, and went out of their way to make sure our Father's Day celebration felt personal. You could tell they genuinely love what they do.
The atmosphere is unlike anything else — the open fire pit, the tropical décor, and the energy of the room all come together beautifully. It's the kind of place that feels festive without being overwhelming.
If you're looking for a dining experience at Disney that delivers on every level, 'Ohana is it. We left full, happy, and already talking about coming back. Highly recommend for any special occasion — especially Father's Day!

Visited on a weekday morning for the character breakfast. It was our first time there and our 3rd day at Disney. I tried the coffee and wasn't a fan of it. I also didn't love the juice, but my kids did! The waffles were pretty good but a little hard. My favorite thing was probably the bread. The server was not very attentive or polite, I felt VERY rushed every time she came to the table and she was impatient with my questions. Overall, if I ever return I would not do this character breakfast, but it was fine for a one-time experience.
The worst meal @ $53 per person is insane. How is the cost the same for a kid. 3 ppl in party the character didn't even stop at the table I would think at this cost 1 of them should have been sitting have a conversation or something. The meal was horrible I would have preferred to cook my own eggs. My daughter planned the reservation not aware it was a buffet, which I would have never agreed to due to my diet restrictions. Bill totalled $169.34 before a tip. Recommendation visit another restaurant my granddaughter was very disappointed as I was.

Last year we loved our visit, unfortunately something has changed. Our steak was overcooked and chewy once we were able to cut the meat. We had to ask for a steak knife to cut it. Our server was horrible, I am actually surprised that she is still employed at the restaurant. We constantly had to flag her down for drinks, food and utensils. I feel like management has changed in the last year and you can definitely tell by the level of the food and service. It was a great place for a family to have a meal together but not anymore. What we just experienced was subpar for the price that we were expected to pay for. We will not be going back. There are better places to spend my time and money.
