We went for dinner yesterday (Saturday night) and the place was packed. We had reservations at 645 for 7 of us and got sat as soon as we checked in. The menu is great. Lots of options (2 kids under 5yrs and 2 vegetarians). The Cajun fries to start were perfectly crisp and not that spicy. We had a couple of drinks (watermelon margarita, the sangria flight, and the rum punch) all were refreshing. Our server Badr, was the absolute BEST!!! We never saw the bottle of any glass and very attentive to our request!!! Food was excellent (veggie patty on the American burger, tofu on the teriyaki bowl, pot roast, tex-mex salad) absolutely terrific!!! We'll definitely be going back!!! Make sure when you go to ask for Badr!!! You won't be disappointed.

Out here on vacation. Decided to give this restaurant a try as our Sat night dinner option. It was 10 of us, Alex was our server. He seemed a bit frantic and as if he was trying to play catch up. He was. A bit aggressive in getting waters out and with starters. I asked him about his option on 2 drinks and his response was “ones made with tequila and the other whiskey” and immediately walked away… when he was taking entrée orders he rang in all but mine for some strange reason and I was not the first or last to order. His excuse was “I’m sorry it’s my fault they just didn’t get your order” my group was almost done eating before he even realized I didn’t have my food. After another few min I told him just don’t worry about mine, nothing was done to try and save me as a guest. The whole experience was disappointing. I would prolly give it another try with a recommended server.

Our family visited Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar for the first time on a Saturday evening with a 7:00 PM reservation. We arrived about 20 minutes early, and after only a brief wait, we were seated roughly 15 minutes before our reservation time in a booth in the dining room. For a first visit, the restaurant made a strong impression. The atmosphere blends a modern mountain lodge aesthetic with an upscale tavern feel, featuring exposed timber beams, stone accents, and warm lighting throughout the dining room. The restaurant felt lively and energetic, though during peak Saturday dinner hours it was definitely on the louder side. Our server was friendly and informative, giving us a quick rundown of the restaurant’s philosophy and menu. We were told that nearly everything is made in house, including the sauces and condiments, with the lone exception being the kids macaroni and cheese. Being that it was the middle of the dinner rush, there were a few stretches where service pacing felt uneven. After we had fully reviewed the menu and decided on our order, there was a noticeable wait before we were able to place it. It was not excessive, but it did stand out. We ordered the Lemon Pepper Tots, Mom’s Chicken Pot Pie, Ribeye Bibimbap, and the kids chicken tenders and fries. The Lemon Pepper Tots were an excellent start to the meal. They may not look especially flashy, but the seasoning was spot on, and the tots were perfectly crisp on the outside while remaining soft and steaming hot inside. My son’s chicken tenders and fries arrived next, and he had no complaints. Both were cooked well, lightly crisp on the outside while still moist and tender inside. The Mom’s Chicken Pot Pie was enormous. Rather than being fully enclosed like a traditional pie, it is topped with a large crust over the filling, which I actually think works much better and avoids the risk of a soggy bottom crust. The filling was rich and flavorful, though I personally would have liked just a touch more salt. The crust itself was excellent, almost pretzel-like in texture with a nicely crisp exterior. The Ribeye Bibimbap was exactly what I was hoping for. The rice arrived sticky and steaming hot, and all of the elements of the dish complemented the shaved ribeye extremely well. The ribeye itself was the standout component, and the gochujang-forward sauce really brought the entire dish together. One critique of the service was the pacing toward the end of the meal. We were only about halfway through our entrees when dessert was brought up, which unintentionally made it feel like we were being rushed along a bit. Ironically, after that interaction we did not see our server again for around 15 minutes while trying to request boxes and the check. I completely understand that the restaurant was busy, so I do not necessarily fault the staff for it, but it did make the overall flow of the meal feel somewhat inconsistent. Overall, Lazy Dog delivered a very enjoyable first experience. The food was flavorful, comforting, and clearly prepared with care, the atmosphere was warm and energetic, and while the service pacing occasionally felt uneven during the dinner rush, the meal itself left a strong impression. I would absolutely return to try more of the menu.

This was the WORST experience at lazy dog. Went on may 9 around noon. Was seated and waited over 8 minutes before anyone approached us. The manager finally came over and took our drink order. Then the waitress came up and told us how busy they were. We ordered LUNCH hamburger LUNCH teraki (sp) chicken and LUNCH blackened chicken burrito. The teriyaki chicken no vegetables or sauce on the rice. Blackened chicken the chicken was Luke warm. The waitress didn’t refill drinks or gave us the sauce rack. When the bill came we were charged for dinner not lunch. When we questioned it the waitress seemed upset we questioned it. Then the fun began. The manager came over and was rude condescending and talked to us like we were children. She questioned the items we had ordered. Finally they did correct the bill and gave a 10% discount. Then she told us not to have high expectations on the next time we ordered the lunch menu. Now why would I want to go back??They want a screenshot. Unbelievable.

I am writing to formally express my disappointment with my recent experience at your Kissimmee location, which has historically been one of my favorite restaurants. I visited with a group of five people for lunch, and unfortunately, the service was poor from the start. The service was slow, inattentive, and there was no follow-up from our server at any point. In order to place our order, I had to physically turn around and call the server over to our table, which is unacceptable. To make matters worse, I was informed that the Chicken Parmesan—previously one of your best and most generously portioned dishes, easily enough for two adults—has been removed from the menu. I then ordered the Chicken Alfredo, and the portion size was extremely disappointing—smaller than what would reasonably be expected even from a kids’ menu. While the other dishes were acceptable, the issues continued with dessert. We ordered an apple pie, which appeared to have been overheated carelessly in the microwave. It arrived misshapen and excessively hot, clearly handled without attention to quality. Additionally, all of the Arnold Palmers and lemonades we ordered were extremely diluted and lacked any real flavor, to the point that we had to send them back and replace them with other beverages. What stood out the most was that the restaurant was nearly empty during peak Sunday lunch hours, yet there was still a waitlist. This strongly suggests operational inefficiencies, possibly due to understaffing. However, based on feedback I’ve heard from multiple individuals who have applied for server positions and never received any follow-up, it seems the issue may not simply be a lack of available staff, but rather a lack of effective management. It is truly disappointing to see a restaurant with such a strong location and previously great reputation decline in this way. There is clear potential for this establishment to be consistently busy and successful, but that will require immediate attention to service quality, staffing, and overall management. To conclude, paying approximately $150 for a meal accompanied by poor service and disappointing food quality is unacceptable. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and leads to meaningful improvements.
