  They overcharged for drinks and food. Claimed they had happy hour but you had to sit at the bar for happy hour, but there were no specials. Generally made you feel unwelcome. This was disrespectful to Jimmy Buffet's memory. We are Jimmy Buffet's fans but go to the Green Parrots instead.

  its a pure tourist stop, but you gotta do it. Nothing really high or low. We were just having a few beverages so had to sit at the bar. Other folks blew in and out like we did...... Keys Life.

  Ordered the first margarita which had no tequila in it. Ordered a jambalaya and a burger. The jambalaya looks like it had been sitting in a pot all day long, no kidding. The chicken was gray. Complained about the first margaritas got a second margarita that actually had a little bit of tequila in it. $128 for jambalaya and a crappy burger and two bad margaritas. Will not return.

  Server (Sol/Soul?) more concerned about tips than getting dietary information correct with the kitchen. We have been to many Margaritaville's and always get the plant based cheese burger in paradise and tip over 20% as servers are usually lovely there (For example Orlando in City Walk is always so much busier than this one but they are always great year after year can not fault them at all). However our Key West experience was ruined by sarcastic and passive aggressive attitude by our server Sol/Soul? When we entered we noticed the usual plant based option was not there so we asked her and she said the kitchen can do it, rather than checking with the kitchen she pressured us to order drinks and food then she will check. We ordered cocktails and a Budweiser ($10 per beer, most expensivewe found on key west). She returned a few times to deliver the drinks, upon returning to us for the fourth time she told my partner that they can't do a vegan/plant based option, we understand this is not available at every restaurant which is why we ask and check with our server before we order anything to not waste anyone's time. After advising they can't do what she originally advised and what we have had in countless Margerittavilles we said can we just get the bill then and we can eat elsewhere she said why don't you just have a salad or something patting my partner on the back in a sarcastic manner, when we explained we were hungry and we need more than a salad she just said okay go elsewhere then, we couldn't believe the attitude as we had been really polite up until this point. We got the bill and paid, as she was walking off with the bill she returned explaining that the tip is not 20% we politely explained that we would not have ordered the over priced drinks if we knew we would not be eating and that 20% for misinformation/sarcasm and cocktails made by her colleague was more than we felt the experience was worth she said 'lots of people tip over 20% just for drinks (If we were sat at the bar and tipping the bartender who made our cocktails I would agree and would have tipped more). She then left in a mood as she could see her manager looking over at her. If she would have just checked with the kitchen first and provided us the correct information we could have just drank a drink at the bar visit the giftshop and find food elsewhere but instead she just assumed what the kitchen could and couldn't do then left in a mood when we didn't tip over 20%. We went to Kaya Island Eats and were able to enjoy a 5/5 meal which had options for all our party (were not all vegan) they had live music and played some Jimmy classics, couldn't help but think if he was still around he would look at this restaurant as what he wants his Margerittaville to be, this is the island vibe we wanted

  We were all excited to visit. Maybe it was because I expected more, but this place was terrible. We were a party of 6, and there wasn't a single person that said they enjoyed their meal and drink. My drink was so sweet it was like eating a piece of candy. My wifes drink was the same. Food was terrible and the servers attitude was far from someone who enjoyed his job. We were there for an hour and heard the same song repeated. JB is turning in his grave.
