This was our first time at Talkin Tacos. We had the birria grilled cheese, fries, & tomato soup, the steak stack, steak & rice bowl, and birria ramen. And then we had 4 of their drinks... Everything was so good. Lorraine was so polite and attentive, but wasn't hovering (which we prefer). I was concerned my husband and daughter wouldn't enjoy the food because they are both very picky eaters... They both enjoyed everything and was able customize their food to their liking.
They had us waiting for our food for so long … I kept getting up to ask about it and they kept disregarding what I was saying telling me that it’ll be out soon. It was so hard to even get their attention, even though there was time for them to sit around and talk. After about 30 minutes or so, I would stood in their way and I told them I’m not moving until they get us our food. They looked very agitated that I would not comply and just go sit down. One of the girls, went to check and they found our food that had been sitting off to the side. By this time, it had been sitting there probably 20 minutes because it was stone cold. Normally, I would have them remake it, but I wondered what they would do to it. Nobody wants food that was spit on or worse. I would hope they wouldn’t do something like that, but do you really know what happens when you send food back? I also was extremely hungry and I needed to eat. Of course the food was cold And it was not good. The worst was the attitude of the servers. I tried notifying the higher-ups, but they never contacted me about it. I left a message and I stated that I do not want anything comped or free food in the future.

I'm going to start by saying that the food was very good a pregnant girl served me the food and helped me with the cards that didn't go through the tablet, the girl was patient and took my order on another computer, the guys when they enter they greet you they explain and are kind, the manager was also even changed a side that I didn't like he went and changed it, but how terrible it became everything after some screams came from the kitchen and they opened the door and everyone heard a girl fighting with the manager from what I understood they were fighting because the girl didn't want to give him her food, it was terrible to hear all that my little son got scared, the girl screamed and told the manager that she would send him to night shifts if he continued like this and that I wouldn't give him any food and both were offended terribly, I felt disappointed it was my little son's birthday and when I saw the behavior of the girl in the kitchen who claimed to be the manager, I ordered my boxes to take away and I left this was on Saturday July 4 between 6 and 7 in the afternoon I felt very bad for the manager I felt that he was humiliated, I think they should review these behaviors among their employees one pays to enjoy the food and the atmosphere not for this type of scandals, The girl was of Arab descent. I would have liked them to give me her name but no one wanted to give it to me so they put her in her place Food is not denied to anyone. I am a manager at crab and I would never deny food to my employees.
i received my food so i’ll give it the 2 stars but i hope and pray laurie isn’t in management because the way she belittles other employees is sickening. i get it, there’s a rush but “you just go over there, i know how to do my job” when he’s trying to help is disgusting. i’ve been on both ends of being a new hire and a manager and my best advice to her because im sure from that brief interaction that she complains every chance she gets, my best advice is to not forget she was a new hire at a point in time and to cherish the little help she does have. because help is hard to find and being kind to someone is way easier than being an ass. if he’s not good enough help i’ll be more than welcome to recruit him over to my team. i order pretty often so if i see him next time ill definitely offer him a position where he can get paid GREAT and treated even better :)

The only highlight was the horchata drink. The birriapiza was overly salty and lacked any other flavor. The green salsa on top was undetectable. We also ordered the Birria Mac & Cheese, which was diluted with birria on the noodles. It was nothing like traditional Mac & Cheese. The sauces they provide all have a similar taste, just varying in spice levels.
I don’t recommend this place if you're looking for authentic birria. However, I do suggest trying their horchata , which is on the sweeter side and I really enjoyed.
