Contrary to popular belief, “Flyed” is the correct spelling of the restaurant’s name. Flyed Chicken officially opened its doors in the summer of 2025. During the grand opening week, I had the opportunity to meet the owner, who shared his experiences and challenges in bringing his restaurant to life. He emphasized the significant effort, risk-taking, and personal sacrifices involved in the process. A local business owner had previously warned him about the failure of other restaurants in the same location, which understandably caused him concern.
Remarkably, one year later, Flyed Chicken has not only thrived but has also expanded to include two additional restaurants in the Baymeadows and San Jose areas.
Flyed Chicken is a family-owned and family-oriented establishment that offers a diverse menu featuring a wide range of fried chicken selections. Grilled chicken is also an option. The owner dedicated considerable time to perfecting his own home chicken recipes before opening the restaurant, resulting in exceptionally crispy, juicy, and flavorful chicken. A variety of home-made sauces, including “Greekish” and “AvocadoRanch,” are available to enhance the dining experience.
My wife and I have been frequenting Flyed Chicken for several months, and we particularly enjoy the wraps and sandwiches with the aforementioned sauces. However, the menu also includes salads, pasta, chicken tenders, and chicken wings, catering to a wide range of preferences. The portions are generous, and the prices are very reasonably priced.
Flyed Chicken offers a delightful selection of desserts, including churros, funnel cake, and brownies. Alcoholic beverages are not served, but a variety of fountain drinks and teas are available.
The owner and/or a family member typically oversee the kitchen to ensure the highest quality standards. Upon receiving your order, you may be pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the owner or the friendly staff, who are dedicated to ensuring that your dining experience meets your expectations.
The restaurant exudes a relaxed and casual ambiance, fostering a welcoming and friendly atmosphere for families. To enhance your dining experience, several skill game machines, each offering enticing prizes, are conveniently located within the establishment. While you engage in these games, the kitchen diligently prepares your freshly cooked meals.
The dining area is meticulously maintained, ensuring a hygienic and pleasant environment for patrons. The restrooms are equally clean and hygienic, providing a comfortable experience for all visitors.
Although a drive-thru service is not available, you can conveniently place an order for pickup by calling the restaurant. Additionally, online ordering is also an option for those who prefer to dine at home.
The restaurant in the North Jacksonville area is conveniently located one block off exit 42 (Alta drive exit) of I-295. Ample free parking is available, and the entrance door is wheelchair accessible, accommodating individuals with mobility challenges.

The food is seriously TO DIE FOR. Everything was absolutely delicious, fresh, full of flavor, and you can tell there is so much care put into what they serve. I genuinely cannot say enough good things about the food — it was AMAZING.
But what really made the experience stand out was the owner. He is truly one of the kindest people you could ever meet. So welcoming, genuine, and just an all-around wonderful person. You don't come across people like him every day, and the way he treats his customers made an already incredible experience that much better.
Amazing food, amazing service, and an owner who genuinely cares about the people who walk through his doors. This was hands down one of the best experiences I've had at a food place. 10/10 across the board. We will ABSOLUTELY be back! ❤️
