Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn't help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we're still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
What a horrible dysfunctional location. I don’t think they’ve ever gotten anything right. I pull up and am sitting at the speaker for nearly 10 minutes when i realize they won’t be using it, so i drive to the window, where i sit behind a car for another 5 minutes, then i have to break awkward silence with the worker by giving him my order, he doesn’t even address the broken sound system (yes i checked for notes of any kind). He has horrible customer service, obviously didn’t know how to work the POS very efficiently, and i get home just to figure out that my chicken sandwhcih is a hamburger. whatever he gets paid he doesn’t deserve it. care about your franchise and hire people that want to do a good job. sloppy experience and i won’t be visiting this location again.

Very rude employees!!! Not sure why this location is even open. The other 2 locations are better. Employees trying to fight customers, being argumentive with customers also. Upper management needs to come in and fix this store and fire all the employees of this store.

Usually I have no issues ordering from here late at night. I know when people work overnights they can be crabby. But literally I went tonight at 2:30am and ordered a jr meal and asked for a sweet tea if they had it, and she went to go check for me. The lady taking my order wasn’t so pleasant at the speaker and when she repeated my order it sounded like she said unsweet and then just told us to pull up. I didn’t confirm at the speaker what she said (possibly on me). When I got to the window I asked if it was unsweet or sweet and a different lady who was taking the payment said unsweet, and I (with no attitude) said it was supposed to be sweet. And the lady who took my order (somewhere in the back) yelled up that i said unsweet and when she repeated the order i didn’t correct her. It was a simple mistake and she was honestly kind of rude when I was not being mean about the situation. Not pleased :/

The whataburger location off Mary Esther is the only one ill go to, I rarely eat fast food, but they have consistently been fresh and friendly, even late night after a long bar shift.
