We made a reservation for Mother's Day brunch buffet for approximately. 10:45am, party of 7. We'd asked for covered outside seating. When we arrived, we were sat outside in the direct sun. That day, between sun and humidity, the temps were already near or over 90 degrees. It was scorching, we were sweating, and it was very uncomfortable to sit and eat. Mind you, we had three generations of mothers, one of whom was in her 90s, sitting roasting in the sun. We were on the side near the children's play area. We asked if we could be seated indoors, but the hostess said they didn't have any indoor seating available. We asked if they had any shade, an umbrella, or something; the answer was no. On the other side of the restaurant, they had a covered outdoor seating area with plenty of room to pull together 2 tables and provide shade. But apparently, that wasn't available, though other customers were sitting out there. We tried to make the best of it and ate quickly. My wife spoke with the lady at the front, stating that it wasn’t considerate to seat people in the hot sun with no shade or to provide any other option. The lady stated they would take that into consideration for next year… what?? To top it off, we got the bill. A line item on the bill was a 3% “service charge.” According to the server, this doesn’t go to the waitstaff and goes directly to corporate. It’s to help pay for rising costs, etc. It was a mandatory charge, one you weren't told about until you got the bill. The cost of doing business is now just being pushed down onto customers… Just raise the prices of the meals? We won’t be returning to Burntwood again. Buyer beware.

Came in right before clothes, and Jamie was the best. We're gonna come back because she told us about brunch on Saturdays and Sundays and the bottomless mimosas and hopefully we'll get to see Janelle because she told us how great she is. But will definitely be back to see Jamie.

Wish I would have heard about this restaurant sooner. Didn’t know it was in gulf coast because it’s tucked away in the back. Had a great experience. Food was yummy, nice atmosphere, and most of all the service was amazing! Jax took really good care of us. You have a wonderful staff. Holly, Jamie, and Ashley kept us entertained through dinner as well. Always great to banter and laugh with a good meal. I will be back and please advertise your wonderful happy hour.

Ashley & Janelle were fabulous bartenders ! Best margarita I’ve had in a long time ! Ice cold beer and yummy flatbread! We literally walked in at 9:56 thinking they closed at 11:00, bartenders didn’t blink an eye they served us no problem and let us order food. They were so friendly, fun and professional ! Highly recommend !

Went here Saturday night and wanted to share a heads up. The food was pretty average, and it took a while to come out even though the restaurant wasn’t busy. A few people in my group (including me) also felt pretty sick the next day (nausea and stomach issues). We all had different meals but were there at the same time, so just something to be aware of. Not sure what caused it, but figured it was worth mentioning in case others experienced something similar.
