I hate leaving a review like this because I had always enjoyed Timpano in the past. I've been there several times over the years and always thought the food was very good. I hadn't visited in quite a while, so I made a reservation to celebrate my birthday with friends. The menu has changed significantly since my previous visits, and some of my favorite dishes are no longer available. That was disappointing, but I was able to find other options I was happy to order. Unfortunately, the service completely overshadowed the meal. When we arrived, most of my party was already there, yet we were left waiting to be seated even though our table had been sitting empty nearby the entire time. Once seated, the service was shockingly poor. Our server was absent for most of the evening and slow with every aspect of service. He never brought drink menus with the regular menus, so some people ended up ordering food before they could even order drinks. One guest ordered a bottle of sparkling water, and the server promised to bring a chiller, but the bottle was finished before it ever arrived. The biggest issue occurred when our meals came out. Everyone at the table was served except me. The server never checked on us, and after waiting quite a while it became obvious that my order had never been entered. I had to track down other employees myself to ask about my food. To the manager's credit, she was one of the people I spoke with about my missing meal. She stepped in, made sure my order was prepared, and told me it would be comped, which I appreciated. When the pasta finally arrived, it was only room temperature, which was not consistent with the quality I had experienced during previous visits to Timpano. While I can't say for certain, I wondered whether the dish had been rushed after my original order was overlooked. Throughout the night, we repeatedly had to ask another employee for assistance because our server was nowhere to be found. Even ordering dessert became difficult. One of my friends had to ask the bar for a dessert menu because our server was not around. By that point, I wasn't even interested in dessert anymore and I didn't want to risk waiting even longer for anything else. The final straw came when I asked for the check. Rather than bringing it, the server responded, "Where else do you have to be?" It was a Saturday night. Some people wanted to continue their evening, while others were ready to go home. Given everything that had already happened, that comment was incredibly frustrating. After another long wait, the server returned with three ice creams and a birthday sparkler. While the gesture was appreciated, he then referred to me as "Natasha" while singing Happy Birthday—a name that belonged to no one at our table. Even after that, I had to ask for the check multiple more times before we were finally able to leave. By the end of the evening, the service had been so unreliable that some of my friends were hesitant to even request parking validation, concerned that their ticket might disappear along with the server and take an unreasonable amount of time to be returned. The manager did make an effort at the end of the meal to compensate me for the poor service, and I appreciate that. However, I left genuinely confused about what happened. I had always thought highly of this restaurant, which is why this experience was so surprising. The service was not just poor—it was bizarrely inattentive from start to finish. What should have been a fun birthday dinner turned into one of the most frustrating dining experiences I've had in a long time and left me wondering what went wrong.

Timpano is everything Las Olas dining should be and so often isn't. The atmosphere is sophisticated and upscale without feeling stuffy, the kind of place that works whether it's a date night or a celebration with a group. The food is fabulous across the board, and the staff is genuinely excellent. They remember you, they remember your usual drink order, and they make you feel like a regular even if it's only been your second or third visit. That kind of attention to detail says a lot about how the place is run. And can we talk about the drinks? They actually have real alcohol in them. It sounds like a small thing until you've had one too many watered-down cocktails at other spots along Las Olas and realize how rare that actually is. When you order a drink at Timpano, you can taste that it was made properly. Between the ambiance, the food, the service, and drinks that are actually worth the price, Timpano has become our go-to. Highly recommend.

It had been years since I last went there. At the time it was a vibrant piano bar exciting place with really good food. Sometime it transformed to higher end looking restaurant with no live music. And the food changed. Nothing exciting on the menu. The staff was very polite but to say they were slow is an understatement. It took more than half an hour to get their Father’s Day dessert special which was horrible. Not worth the wait. Lastly, they did not have the wine that I had ordered. However, they charged me for the more costly wine which they didn’t have. No one volunteered to get us water. We had to ask any passing waiter. A painful experience to say the least.

We had an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. Our server, Chris, truly made the evening exceptional. He recommended an excellent wine that paired perfectly with our meal and fit a great price point. Despite our large party, he was incredibly patient, attentive, and accommodating throughout the night. The food was absolutely phenomenal. The meatballs were some of the best I’ve ever had, and the fettuccine Alfredo was hands down the best I’ve ever tasted. Watching the fettuccine Alfredo being prepared tableside was an amazing experience and added a special touch to the meal. Between the incredible food, outstanding service, and memorable atmosphere, this was a 12/10 experience. We’ll definitely be back! 🍷🇮🇹✨
