Went with a group of 14 and booked the entire restaurant for a bday party. The good: Cheff Jeff and Chef Jordan are absolutely amazing. Food was good. The bad: pretty much everything else - it took 20+ minutes to get a drink (bottle of sake) - wait staff was rude - we eventually were told that someone else was booked for the sushi counter (before we were done) and told to move to a table I probably would have looked past all of that ....buuuuuutttttt........ The bill shows up and all the bottles are rung up for prices that do not match the menu. $65 turned to $100. $100 turned to $118. You'd think management would lose their mind and work with you to fix it before taking amazing care of people WHO BOOKED THE ENTIRE RESTAURANT... But no. The management team was rude about the issue, eventually grudgingly refunded the overage (well thx guys) and gave an attitude about it. We did (after I asked) get a free shot of sake out of it, but the pour was small. In short, u less they do something great (they have our info) we will not be back. P.s. out of 2 visits to the Pier 66 location this is the 2nd time the bill was wrong. Last time they tried charging us $70 for the $55 Omakase. When the place was above Salt 7 they never had these issues. Again, I suggest you avoid and go to Takato.

Epic waste of time. We showed up for our reservation expecting the advertised 75-minute seating, only to be told they were running more than 30 minutes behind because the previous seating still hadn’t finished. We didn’t even sit down for dinner. If you’re going to run a restaurant around tightly scheduled, limited-time seatings, then managing that schedule is literally part of the experience. Being 30+ minutes behind on a 75-minute seating is ridiculous and defeats the entire concept. We ultimately left rather than continue waiting around with no confidence that the experience would start—or finish—anywhere close to schedule. Terrible first impression and a complete waste of our evening.

We paid $175 for our 17 course omakase experience (about $11 a piece) and truly loved each piece. Piece were buttery, fresh, and built with the right flavors. We loved our chefs and had great service as well. If you’re dining for 2 people with a drink or two expect to spend $500+ with tip. It was my partners birthday and we had a blast with staff!

Sushi by Bou’s Pier Sixty-Six location in Fort Lauderdale is my first experience of their Florida lineup. The space itself sets the tone before the food even arrives, orchid accents draped across the ceiling, warm ambient lighting, and hanging greenery that gives it a really unique atmosphere for a sushi bar. We did the Bougie Omakase for our group of three, and it did not disappoint. Watching the chefs torch nigiri tableside with an open flame added a great theatrical element to the meal, and the fish itself was pristine, from delicate toro to rich, briny uni served straight out of the wooden crate. We added Uni shooters on the side, which were a great bonus course, and rounded things out with hot sake, and a Ginger Highball which were well balanced and not overly sweet. Chef Jeff and service was attentive all night without ever feeling rushed, which matters a lot for an omakase experience where pacing makes or breaks the night. Great pick for a special night out, and this location has its own distinct personality compared to the other Sushi by Bou spots.
