⭐ I Am Giving a 15‑Star Review to Jen, Larry & Dannie at Rocco’s Tacos – Fort Lauderdale ⭐
I am giving 15 STARS — yes, FIFTEEN — because the team at Rocco’s Tacos in Fort Lauderdale deserves nothing less. This isn’t just a restaurant; it’s a full‑blown experience thanks to Jen, Larry, and Dannie.
Jen, the bartender, is an absolute FORCE.
She doesn’t just make drinks — she creates masterpieces. Every cocktail is perfection, every pour is intentional, and her energy lights up the entire bar. She’s warm, funny, intuitive, and makes you feel like you’ve been coming there for years. Sitting at Jen’s bar is the highlight of the night.
Larry, the manager, is the heartbeat of the entire place.
He sets the tone the moment you walk in — welcoming, attentive, and genuinely invested in making sure every guest has an unforgettable experience. When Larry is on the floor, everything runs smoothly, the vibe is electric, and you feel taken care of from start to finish.
Dannie ties the whole experience together with kindness, professionalism, and genuine hospitality.
Whether it’s a warm greeting, a quick assist, or making sure every detail is perfect, Dannie adds that extra layer of care that turns a great night into an exceptional one.
Together, Jen, Larry, and Dannie are the dream team.
They elevate Rocco’s Tacos from a great restaurant to a must‑visit destination. The food is fantastic, but it’s the PEOPLE — especially these three — who make it unforgettable.
If you’re in Fort Lauderdale, do yourself a favor:
Go to Rocco’s Tacos, sit at Jen’s bar, and let Larry and Dannie take care of the rest.
This is a 15‑star experience every single time!

Went for a date night on Tuesday night, it was busy and Mexican. Asked for spicy guac. No spice. Food is usually easy for vegans. Had a horrible waitress, all the weight staff were moving like they had fire on their feet. Hard to stop and even get hot sauce, (it’s not offered or served at table). Second time and last. Mid food bitchy staff. Gave major sass and was never around. Even made it a point that we were vegan, even though we never said aloud. We could have just wanted veggies that night…. Super weird and invasive. Not a date night spot.
Walked in at 12:10 pm o. Taco Tuesday, 6/2/26, we were not greeted by a hostess (who was on the phone) or anyone else for that matter, we stood there waiting for her to acknowledge that she new we were there and waiting but she made zero effort to even look at us. We eventually decided to walk into the bar area after about 5 minutes of us staring at the hostess. The bar was busy with one bartender on who was very attentive and efficient considering he had the equivalent of 6 tables sat at the same time while there were only 2 other tables sat in the entire restaurant and 4 servers standing by hanging out waiting for business. The bartender saved the day by being quick and friendly, food was delicious and seasoned more than any other Mexican style restaurant around. I would recommend this restaurant, but would also recommend the management look into hostess training as well. We nearly walked out and would not have been back.
Update: After sharing my experience, the management team contacted me directly, thoroughly reviewed the situation, and refunded all three checks from our table. While I still stand by my original comments regarding the food and service we received that evening, I appreciate the professionalism, accountability, and prompt response from the leadership team.
If you’re someone who enjoys eating fajitas, this is not the place for you.
We decided to visit because we had an amazing experience at the Orlando location, but unfortunately this one was the complete opposite.
We ordered the combo fajitas, and the portion was honestly comparable to a kids’ meal. No exaggeration—there were only about three small pieces of chicken and three pieces of steak on the plate. We even ordered a side of rice to make the meal feel more complete, only to receive another tiny portion.
I normally don’t mind smaller portions when the quality justifies the price, but paying $77 for that, plus two watered-down margaritas, was extremely disappointing. To make matters worse, the flavor did not make up for it.
The service was also poor. Our server had a bad attitude throughout the meal and made us wait a long time just to pay the bill.
Definitely not coming back.
