About

Italian RestaurantBar
Louie Bossi is not your typical chef. Growing up in an Italian household in New York he remembers the aromas of roasted garlic and fresh meatballs sizzling from his family’s kitchen. Raised by a single mother juggling three jobs, Bossi taught himself to cook at the age of eight. Working his way from dishwasher to cook at the local pizzeria Bossi developed a love for the art of pizza making. Relocating to Florida in 2000, Bossi landed his first job with Big Time Restaurant Group as grill cook. Exploring different positions within their popular portfolio of restaurants Chef Bossi proved to be one of the hardest working and most inspired chefs in the company, which earned him the coveted Executive Chef position at Big City Tavern. Bossi's D.I.Y. approach has led him to obtain a certification from Chef Brian Polcyn in the ancient art and technique of charcuterie, as well as becoming a Master Pizza Maker from The Scuola Italiana Pizzaoili in San Francisco.

★★★★★ Another Perfect Experience at Louie Bossi! Louie Bossi never disappoints! We were visiting from Ohio for our third time and once again had an absolutely wonderful experience. Our party of 10 sat in the outdoor courtyard, which was beautiful and very comfortable. There was plenty of air moving, and the staff quickly provided fly fans when we requested them. The food was spectacular—every single item was prepared perfectly. Our waitress was incredible. She memorized our entire order without writing anything down and executed everything flawlessly. All of the food arrived at the same time, promptly and exactly as ordered. From the ambiance to the food and exceptional service, everything was outstanding. Thank you for another memorable evening! Make a reservation—and make it early. You won’t regret it!

I went here last summer for brunch and a couple days ago for dinner. The staff is rude and disrespectful. Last summer was the same but we talked to the manager. I will say the hostess was nice and did answer our questions but that was after I asked three other staff members and they all answered rudely and did not know (we asked for matches or a lighter). Our waitress never came back after taking our orders and had a horrible attitude when taking our order. We payed with cash, said to keep the change ($3) and were still going to leave her a tip (even though it was not deserved) and instead she gave me back my $3 and when I said that she could keep it she threw it back at me and walked away. Safe to say I did not leave a tip after that. All of the staff we interacted with was rude except for the hostess and acted as if we were a bother and not customers. Seemed like the staff was having a bad day and thats why they had attitude. The food and place is good. Sucks that the staff is always rude.

First time here. The atmosphere was great and the service was good! My friend saw lamb chops online and asked if they were serving that, it was a dinner menu item but we were lucky and our server mentioned the chef had some prepared, so we ordered lamb chops, Funghi Pizza (it was delicious), with a side of pasta. So good and so filling. We also ordered drinks, they were good and strong, just how we like it. If I lived in Florida, as an Italian myself, I would be here almost everyday!

Ordered apps to charcuterie to pizza bottomless mimosa, spritz, and bellini on a sunday that goes until 4pm. Got there at 12:30 and was approach at 2 and was told we need to leave…. 0/10 was told there was a 2 hour limit but nothing on the menu states that. Management was rude about the entire situation like we didnt just spend a bunch of money. As a business owner i understand the importance of turn and burn but my business doesnt offer “bottomless” specifically for this reason. Bad management will ruin you.

Buyer beware. Check your credit card statements after dining at Louie Bossi in Fort Lauderdale. I gave this restaurant another chance, and I regret it. The first time, I assumed my experience was the result of one arrogant server. My friend ordered a simple Pinot Grigio, (and asked for a cup of ice to dilute it) yet she was served the most expensive Pinot Grigio on the menu. When we questioned the charge, the server's response was, "I didn't know you didn't want to spend." It wasn't an apology—it was an insult. Despite that experience, I still left a 15% tip - not my normal 20%. Only later, when I reviewed my credit card statement, did I discover that the tip had been increased to approximately 25%. I brought the entire incident to the manager's attention. His reaction? Total indifference. He didn't even ask for the server's name or seem interested in investigating what had happened. It felt like his only goal was to get rid of me as quickly as possible. Against my better judgment, I returned. This time, I left what I intended to be a 20% tip, yet the amount that ultimately appeared on my credit card was nearly 28%. On both of my visits, the final tip charged to my credit card was higher than the tip I had authorized. After seeing this happen twice, I no longer consider it an isolated incident. My advice is simple: keep your signed receipt and compare it to the amount that actually posts to your credit card. Most people never check. There are plenty of excellent restaurants in Fort Lauderdale that value their customers and charge exactly what they're authorized to charge. After two billing issues, Louie Bossi has permanently lost my business.
