I rarely leave negative reviews, but this experience was honestly terrible. The service was extremely slow and inattentive — we waited forever just to be acknowledged, and even longer for our food. When it finally arrived, I was shocked to find mold on my food.
I brought it to the staff’s attention, and instead of apologizing or taking it seriously, they seemed dismissive and uninterested. No urgency, no accountability, nothing. That’s completely unacceptable, especially when it comes to food safety.
Overall, the environment felt careless, the service was poor, and the quality control was clearly lacking. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy. Save your money and go somewhere else.

In my case I ordered a mixed wrap (chicken and beef).
Why I gave 1 stars on food: Let’s start off with the pita. Before I even got to taste the meat or seasoning, i noticed the pita was a bit stale. It was kind of dry and flaky very much like layers of thin cardboard. Then came the true test; the meat. Unfortunately, an even bigger disappointment. Shawarma is meant to be thinly sliced, marinated meats slow-cooked on a vertical rotisserie spear. When an order is placed, the outer layer of the meat is shaved off so there isn’t really supposed to be any on-the-spot cooking or much chewing to be expected because the meat is so thin and cooked so long that it literally should melt in your mouth. The meat was none of that. There were GINORMOUS pieces of fatty chicken and chewy, stringy beef that resembled and old, crocheted poncho with more holes than yarn rather than the thin silky layers it’s meant to be. The other wrap ingredients were standard and the seasoning was ok.
Why I gave 2 stars on service: The staff was pleasant and the wait wasn’t long but that would be based on standard orders where food is meant to be cooked on the spots. Since shawarma isn’t supposed to be cooked on the spot, the time from when I ordered to when I walked out should’ve been considerably shorter.
Why I gave 3 stars on atmosphere: Since the business name included “express” it implies it’s meant to be fast so I wasn’t expecting the atmosphere to want to keep you in there longer than needed but the music they were playing was a bit. Finally, unless you’re at a sports bar watching I game, I will never understand the need to have a TV in any food establishment.
I love supporting small local businesses so I struggled with this review because I recognize it’s very critical, but it is my honest opinion. I would certainly give it another try in 6-12 months to give them time to adjust their recipe and/or cooking process to align better with the dishes they are serving.
