DISGUSTING EXPERIENCE !!
You have to read this if you are the manager of this place.
I have never made negative comments about a business, only out of consideration. Despite the bad experiences I’ve had, I always try to stay positive, but this time my anger is too great!!
Today I went to the same Chipotle as always, located in Destin Commons at midday. My experience was terrible, and it’s not the first time this has happened. However, I keep going back days later with the hope that this time they will serve the quality of food they supposedly offer and that it will be worth the price.
I ordered my meal. The place was not crowded, but it was dirty—the tables were disgusting. The guy who served my plate had a bad attitude and put a very small amount of rice, like it was for a baby. Then I asked for black beans; they looked dry and white on top. I thought he would at least stir them, but he didn’t!
Right after that, I asked for chicken and steak. The chicken was okay, but in the steak container there were burnt, dry pieces—basically trash or leftovers that were no longer good—while in the back another worker was cutting fresh steak. You might say, why didn’t you ask for better steak? But I’ll tell you this: this guy should know how to do his job, and logically he should have said, “Hey, wait for my coworker to cut some fresh steak for you.” But instead, being lazy, he kept serving scraps onto my plate. He only put a few pieces, and it felt like a joke.
Then he added queso (which was cold when it’s supposed to be warm, and it also had hard, unmelted clumps). After that, even though I was clearly upset but still trying to be kind. I asked for tomatoes. The container was empty—it only had water and leftover bits—and this guy kept scraping it, basically adding water to my food. He put maybe three small leftover pieces of tomato. I wanted to ask, “Don’t you have more tomatoes?” The logical thing would be to go to the back and get fresh ones. Instead, he had the nerve to ask me, “Do you want it like that?”
I looked at him, and I don’t know how I didn’t say, “Would you eat that garbage?” But I controlled myself and just said seriously, “Just leave it like that.” Then I asked for guacamole (it looked dark, spoiled, and had lettuce, tomato, and water on top).
After putting that mess on my plate, he proudly closed it as if he had just served food to a dog. Then the cashier, who was nice, charged me. I didn’t even want a bag. I left completely disappointed by how disgusting the place was and by the service from that guy with glasses.
I feel sorry for the owner, but the staff is terrible. The food is dirty, the serving area isn’t cleaned, and the bottoms of the plates and burritos drag through the mess, picking up food from the counter.
I will never come back to this place. It’s a shame because before, when they did things right, the food was delicious. But now I feel like throwing up and I have a terrible taste in my mouth. I went there during work, happy to get my lunch, but I came back angry and disappointed.
