  My party of four had a very disappointing experience at Bubba Gump Shrimp in Destin. We had reservations for 8:45 p.m. and were seated promptly, which was unfortunately the highlight of our visit. We started with the calamari, which came out fairly quickly, but it was completely flavorless. We ate about half of it, hoping our entrées would be much better. Unfortunately, they weren’t. All four of us ordered Mama Blue’s Fried Shrimp with fries, and every plate was disappointing. The shrimp had a completely different texture and breading than what we’ve experienced at Bubba Gump before. It looked like frozen, boxed shrimp, and it tasted like it had been cooked in old, stale grease. None of us could eat it. We asked to speak with a manager. She asked if we wanted to order something else, but never apologized for the poor quality of the food or acknowledged how disappointing the experience was. While I do appreciate that she removed the meals from our bill, what was missing was genuine customer service and empathy. By that point, our appetites were gone, and we didn’t want to risk ordering something else. This was our last night visiting Destin, and we had been looking forward to enjoying dinner together. Instead, our evening ended with a disappointing meal and an interaction that left us feeling like our concerns weren’t truly heard. Based on this experience, we won’t be returning.

  Typical Landry's establishment: high price, low quality. We were given two different menus with items they no longer serve. Servers and roaming manager were awesome. Food was tasteless and way over-priced. When I found out it was owned by Landry's, I really wanted to cancel our reservation. It mirrors the St. Louis location, only there is movie memorabilia. Took an opportunity to talk w some people waiting outside to re-evaluate their dinner selection.

  This was our first dinner stop to start our family vacation. The staff was amazing. The wait wasnt to long. The chips and queso was pretty good but our meal wasnt what I was expecting. My family and I were super sick right after pulling out of the parking lot. We still had 3 days left of our trip in Destin and we felt pretty sick throughout the rest of the trip. We had bad stomach pains and just felt awful. Im glad it didn't ruin our first trip to Florida but it came pretty close. We werent able to enjoy the other restaurants we ate at cause our stomachs just werent okay. I have two small kids so it made the trip tuff.

  Had a reservation- got seated very quickly. Decor and atmosphere was fun. Waitress was nice, kept our teas filled up and our orders were correct- she was very sweet. Apps were good- queso and garlic bread- arrived timely. Cajun shrimp was very small portion, no sides. Alabama pasta was hot and fresh. Kids pizza and corn dogs arrived hot and enjoyed by boys- they did come in a boat. My bbq ribs were very cold, I brought them back to condo and warmed then, then they tasted ok, still a little tough and needed sauce. The grilled shrimp were over seasoned for me personally. My side salad was awesome though- so fresh and the honey mustard -5 stars. Will probably not go back while in Destin, but the experience was fun.

  i only gave 5 stars for service because our waiter (younger male with glasses maybe named riley?). he gave us exceptional service. we come in right after they open, and we get seated and get our drinks. we order an appetizer which was actually very delicious. we were so excited for our food until it got there. the shrimp were extremely overcooked. i paid $17 a piece for my children to get the shrimp & crab boil for kids and they got 3 pieces of shrimp and 1 crab cluster. while the price wasn’t the problem, it was the amount for the price. most of us got shrimp something and it was all overcooked. another person at my table asked for a well done burger and they got an almost rare burger. i told our waiter to maybe let the cooks know the shrimp is being overcooked and he went and told the manager who took our appetizer off and offered 2 free desserts. we never got those because we waited for 30 minutes for them and decided it wasn’t worth staying for. so 2 hours and $200 later, to be disappointed to no end.
